Zack Bongiovanni

Head of Global Partnerships, Emerging Markets, YouTube

Zack Bongiovanni leads Global Partnerships on YouTube's emerging markets team, focused on bringing the next billion users online. Previously he served as head of Infrastructure Expansion for Google's Access division, leading partnerships to develop Google Fiber, Google Cuba, and varied internet infrastructure initiatives. He came to Google as head of Energy Partnerships, driving efforts related to renewable energy investments, product innovation, and climate strategy.  Prior to joining Google, Bongiovanni managed renewable energy development for NRG Energy in the Caribbean and Latin America, including the development of the Necker Island microgrid and efforts to transition island grids away from fossil fuel dependence. He holds an MPP in Political and Economic Development from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and a BS in Economics and BA in Spanish Literature from Santa Clara University. He served as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs and as a Program Advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative, and is a member of the Presidential Leadership Scholars class of 2017.
