What specific problem are you solving?

Only 1% of the population owns 40% of the wealth in Mexico -Oxfam Mexico, if we put it on a pie chart with 100 people and 10 slices, 4 slices would be for 1 person and 6 slices would be for 99 people, what Worse is that the inequality gap continues to grow rapidly, in addition Mexico is part of the 25% of countries with higher levels of inequality according to the World Bank.

In addition, the gap is growing more and more and does not allow people from the base of the pyramid to access basic services, or jobs that allow them to develop, because in Mexico the difference in salary of the base of the pyramid 5 dlls, is 18 times less than what a director earns, it is an unfair distribution of wealth, to mitigate this it is important to distribute wealth differently, so that people at the base of the pyramid can generate savings, have jobs that promote them and create alliances with other communities to access much fairer jobs.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

There are two beneficiary populations:

The entrepreneurs. They are founders of companies that use innovation and technology to generate decent work opportunities on a massive scale.

Needs. Lack of access to the knowledge, resources and connections necessary to survive. They fail to build effective teams, find the customer base, or secure the funding necessary to grow.

How they are addressed. Designing the curriculum based on your specific needs. In the program they receive: resources, methodologies, workshops, critical connections and access to capital. That is why we bring together the entire ecosystem - for 3 weeks - that they need to scale their impact. Including: foundation and fund managers, innovation and technology experts.

The final beneficiaries. They are people belonging to the middle, lower middle class and base of the pyramid.

Needs. They do not have the skills that the current work environment demands, they have become unemployed, they are excluded from the productive sectors, or they are unable to generate enough income to exceed the poverty line.

How they are addressed. Generating anthropological knowledge in entrepreneurs so that they can generate solutions tailored to their final beneficiaries and periodically measuring the impact that entrepreneurs have on their lives.

Explain how the problem, your solution, and your solution’s target population relate to the Challenge and your selected dimension.

The project becomes more relevant and strategic for the country every day - since the initiative's focus is to detonate innovation to generate decent work on a massive scale. 75% of jobs in Mexico are generated by small and new businesses and the ONU estimates that in the next 6-12 months +29 million people in Latin America will fall into poverty.

Detonating entrepreneurship, creating decent jobs through companies with community development models and giving access to the necessary connections to grow its impact and bussines, that allow employment to be detonated in vulnerable communities.

What is your theory of change?

1. Bring together entrepreneurs who are solving the same problem but from different angles, that the learning of all entrepreneurs be capitalized to avoid mistakes that other organizations have made, generate powerful relationships that help each other and can create alliances between organizations either with Entrepreneurs, mentors or investment funds, be able to solve the problem in a profound way so that changes are made that last and change lives but are scalable to benefit the greatest number of lives in the least amount of time.

2. With a deep understanding of their beneficiaries so that they design their solutions based on the beneficiaries and thus become increasingly useful and allow them to make customized solutions / potential clients while in contact with the leaders of the continent, there would be greater dominance of the game they were playing and will allow them to approach more potential customers through the unreasonable network and tangible results in the growth of their company such as sales, funding and investment, jobs generated within the organization and its beneficiaries, and lives benefited.

How many people does your solution currently serve? How many will it serve in one year? In five years?

There are two types of beneficiaries.

Entrepreneurs and founders of companies.

whom we have served +153 entrepreneurs for 7 years, for next year we will have served +200 companies and in the next 5 years +700 companies.

Final beneficiaries

Companies have benefited +2,500,000 lives, we hope to reach +3,000,000 beneficiaries next year through our acceleration programs.

With Citi-Banamex we have already run 2 acceleration programs for 2 years, and we have managed to benefit +1,200,000 lives,

we hope in 5 years to be benefiting +10,000,000 lives through our programs, using technology as our ally, for each time to be able to further grow our impact and not only in Mexico, but to explore how to run programs throughout Latin America, to be an impossible movement to stop.
