The climate crisis isn’t experienced equally. This year, we turn our attention to how climate solutions can work fairly for everyone—especially across the Global South. From Indigenous communities deploying renewables to understanding how climate and health intersect, we’ll examine solutions that center local leadership, promote resilience, and plan for the unexpected… and expected. We’ll also examine AI’s environmental impact, exploring opportunities and trade-offs.

AI is already addressing critical challenges —from AI-powered diagnostic tools in rural clinics to disaster response systems. Yet access remains deeply unequal, with AI systems mostly trained on Western data. Along with our panelists, we'll explore how to ensure AI serves communities worldwide, enhancing our abilities without diminishing our agency. We'll examine models of locally-developed AI solutions, address the digital infrastructure gaps, and discuss frameworks for equitable deployment and governance that respect cultural contexts and build local capacity.
