What specific problem are you solving?
Millions of people in precarious situations—migrants, homeless individuals, young people in errance, survivors of violence—face an invisible barrier when trying to access basic support: they simply don’t know where to go. Health and precarity are deeply interconnected, as poor health can both result from and reinforce precarious living conditions, while being closely tied to other key issues such as nutrition, hygiene, and access to basic needs. Information about food, shelter, health care, or legal aid is often scattered across dozens of websites, outdated, or not online at all. This fragmentation leads to missed help, unmet needs, and increased vulnerability. We’re solving the problem of access to information—the critical first step to accessing care. By centralizing, updating, and geolocating available support services, we give people a clear, real-time map of what help exists near them, in a language they understand. For social workers and aid organizations, our platform also streamlines referrals and ensures no one falls through the cracks due to a lack of coordination. In short, we turn a chaotic, hard-to-navigate landscape into one that is visible, understandable, and actionable—so that people in crisis can quickly connect to the support they need.
What is your solution?
For millions of people in vulnerable situations finding essential services can be a daunting task. Information is often fragmented, outdated, or difficult to access. Soliguide changes this by providing a real-time, multilingual platform that centralizes and geolocates services like food, shelter, healthcare, and mental health support, ensuring that help is always within reach. Soliguide provides a real-time, geolocated map of nearby support services via a mobile app, website, printed guides, live chat, and API/Widget, helping people find the help they need immediately. In 2024, the platform recorded over 3.9 million searches across France, showing just how critical access to reliable, up-to-date information is. In parallel, we designed Solidata, a system that analyzes and valorizes the data collected through Soliguide. By combining field data with insights from social actors, Solidata helps to identify areas of need, gaps in services, and shifts in usage, particularly in areas like food, employment, etc... This real-time analysis informs local social policies, enabling more targeted and effective responses to the evolving needs of vulnerable populations. Soliguide and Solidata together provide both immediate solutions and strategic insights, driving change on the ground and shaping better social policies for the future.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Soliguide is designed for anyone facing hardship—whether homelessness, precarious employment, or isolation. It serves vulnerable individuals, including migrants, young people in precarious circumstances, survivors of violence, and anyone struggling to access basic support services. According to our 2022 impact evaluation, a third of vulnerable individuals surveyed used Soliguide, with 19% returning, showing its ongoing value in providing crucial support. For social workers, community leaders, and organizations, Soliguide simplifies service referrals by centralizing data and improving coordination between various aid providers. This ensures no one falls through the cracks—every person in need is quickly and efficiently connected to the right resources, reducing delays and confusion. Additionally, Solidata aggregates and analyzes service usage and local needs, offering critical insights for refining social policies and optimizing resource distribution. By tracking real-time trends in areas like housing, employment, and access to rights, Solidata helps social actors identify service gaps and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs. This means that local services can be better tailored to address the most pressing demands, ensuring that resources are available where they’re most needed.
