What specific problem are you solving?
In Tanzania, youth unemployment is 13.7% (ILO, 2023), with 800,000 new job seekers enter the labor market annually, but formal jobs are scarce and most lack tailored guidance or exposure. Underinvested populations, especially rural youth and women, lack skills and access to formal employment. Niajiri addresses this by providing digital skill training and matching talent to employers, reducing the skills gap and economic exclusion affecting over 2 million Tanzanian youth. Globally, youth unemployment impacts 68 million (UN), with similar gaps in workforce readiness

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our primary beneficiaries are young people aged 18–35 in Tanzania, particularly those from low-income backgrounds, persons with disabilities, women, and underserved regions. Many face barriers such as digital illiteracy, lack of career guidance, and limited access to job markets. Niajiri provides these groups with tools to build skills, validate their abilities through assessments, and get matched with real opportunities. This not only boosts employability and self-confidence but also creates income-generating pathways and long-term career mobility.
