What specific problem are you solving?
Most expectant mothers in Africa seek antenatal care at small health centers run by semi-skilled nurses. These nurses often face information gaps, which can lead to deadly delays:
1- This is because of a delay in identifying complications early without advanced diagnostic tools, semi-skilled nurses may struggle to recognize life-threatening conditions like pre-eclampsia or obstructed labor in time.
2-This is because of a delay in deciding when to refer,many rural health centers lack clear referral guidelines, leading to hesitation or late transfers to higher-level hospitals.
3- This occurs when there is a delay in knowing where to send patients ,not all hospitals can handle every complication, but without real-time information, nurses may send mothers to facilities that lack the necessary specialists or equipment ,wasting precious time.
This is partly the reason why we still have 95 % of the maternal death occurring in developing countries including Uganda

At Chil femtech center , we are bridging information gaps among our rural health facilities using our artificial intelligence chatbot keti .Our system assesses risk in real time, flags complications early including those that may happen during and before time birth and auto -recommends the best-equipped health facility equipped and has the capability to handle complications . Using large language model , the chatbot goes on avail both pregnant and fresh mothers a platform where they can ask questions related to pregnancy and fresh motherhood and have their answers in info- graphic , comic local language information

Keti AI is built for pregnant women in rural parts of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, these are women who are too often left behind by traditional healthcare systems. Many live far from hospitals, speak local languages like Swahili, and don’t always have access to reliable information or support during pregnancy.
Our solution gives them a trusted companion ,one that speaks their language, understands their journey, and guides them through pregnancy with care. Keti AI shares vital information, helps them know when and where to seek care, and connects them to nearby health services. It’s more than just technology, it is a lifeline for safer motherhood.
