What specific problem are you solving?
In Bangladesh, millions of learners and job seekers struggle with English proficiency due to limited access to affordable, high-quality language education. Traditional classrooms fail to meet the needs of diverse learners, particularly those from rural and underserved communities. English proficiency is essential for university admission, job applications, migration, and global communication. However, most coaching tertiary-level educational institutes, language centers and coaching centers are expensive and urban-centered, leaving behind those who need support the most. The growing digital divide further limits access to learning tools that are intelligent, personalized, and relevant to local learners. EnglishMate addresses this pressing challenge by combining AI, gamification, and real-time feedback to provide a scalable, practical and contextualized learning experience.
What is your solution?
EnglishMate is a web-based, AI-powered English learning platform designed to offer smart, affordable, and personalized language education. The platform includes features such as scenario-based speaking practice, a flashcard vocabulary builder, an IELTS preparation module, and a gamified learning dashboard. At its core is MUKUL — a proprietary small language model fine-tuned for educational and conversational English. EnglishMate uses Deepgram STT/TTS for real-time text to speech interaction, integrates RLHF to adapt to learners' needs, and operates on a scalable AWS infrastructure with reinforcement learning pattern. It has already been deployed among early users at Daffodil International University and is gaining traction as a local EdTech innovation with global potential.
