What specific problem are you solving?
We are solving the problem of lack of direct market access for marginal farmers, Women Self-Help Groups (WSHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and rural producers in India.
Even today, many farmers work hard to grow good quality produce, but they are forced to sell it through local traders and mandis where middlemen control prices. Because of this, farmers earn very little compared to the value of their produce. Marginal and small landholding farmers suffer even more, as they have small quantities to sell and less bargaining power.
Women Self-Help Groups and rural entrepreneurs also struggle to find good platforms to sell their handmade and value-added products directly to consumers. As a result, rural families face low income, unstable livelihoods, and financial insecurity. This lack of fair markets also contributes to growing debt burdens and even farmer suicides.
We are building Wingrow Markets to give these rural producers a way to sell directly to consumers without middlemen, ensuring they earn better prices (45-50% more), build stronger businesses, and secure a stable future.
What is your solution?
We provide physical Wingrow Markets, where farmers, Women Self-Help Groups (WSHGs), FPOs, and rural producers come with their fresh produce, set up their stalls, and sell directly to consumers. This removes middlemen and ensures better income for producers.
Wingrow Agritech started this initiative in 2023, and today we operate 46 weekly markets across Pune and Mumbai, connecting rural producers to urban consumers under one transparent system.
Along with physical markets, we have developed India’s first stall booking platform, available in multiple regional languages, making it easy for farmers to book their stalls online without any complexity.
Through the platform, farmers can also track their daily inward and outward produce, view sales reports, and analyze their income patterns—empowering them to make better decisions.
Wingrow combines traditional market access with simple digital innovation, building a scalable, inclusive model for rural economic growth.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution serves marginal and small landholding farmers, Women Self-Help Groups (WSHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), local rural entrepreneurs, and agri-based startups.
These rural producers often have high-quality products but very limited access to good markets. They struggle to sell at fair prices and depend heavily on middlemen, leading to low incomes and financial insecurity.
Through Wingrow Markets, we give them a platform to sell directly to consumers without middlemen, helping them earn 45-50% more income. Our stall booking platform and sales analysis dashboard help them better manage their produce, understand market demand, and plan their business activities smartly.
Till now, more than 6,000 farmers have benefitted through Wingrow Markets. After participating in our markets, their income has increased by INR 30,000 or more monthly, depending on the type and quantity of commodities they sell.
