What specific problem are you solving?
Vietnamese teachers face overwhelming workloads, limiting their ability to innovate and provide personalized learning. A 2024 survey of 188 teachers by STEAM for Vietnam highlights the significant burden of administrative tasks, lesson planning, grading, and exam design. Preparing lessons under the 2018 general education curriculum takes 2-3 hours per lesson, while creating slides requires 3-4 hours, leading to selective preparation. Exam design can take a full day, and grading takes 1-5 minutes per assignment, often lacking personalized feedback. This relentless workload limits teachers' capacity to apply modern, student-centered pedagogies and integrate AI-powered teaching tools that could close the growing learning gap. In the absence of personalized learning, many Vietnamese students are left behind—not because of a lack of potential, but because the system cannot meet their diverse needs. Additionally, Vietnam lags in technological adoption, further widening the skills gap in education. The absence of scalable AI-driven frameworks prevents efficient modernization, and low digital literacy—especially AI literacy—among teachers and administrators exacerbates the issue. To ensure Vietnamese children remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global landscape, the education system must empower teachers with AI-driven tools that reduce workload, enable personalization, and unlock student potential.
What is your solution?
Our solution is to develop a national AI education ecosystem for over 1.6 Million teachers nationwide to significantly improve the teaching quality through better learning/teaching materials, personalization, and reducing workloads for teachers. The solution includes five key components: 1/ National AI Training: A scalable hybrid learning model (online & offline) using LMS, MOOCs, and live virtual classes to train teachers and education leaders in applying Gen AI in the classroom. for lesson planning, grading, personalized assessments, and classroom management. 2/ AI Teaching Tools: Hands-on training with tools for lesson planning, grading, assessments, and student feedback using AI like Notebook LM, ChatGPT, GenAI platforms RAG, and Crew AI to reduce administrative workload and enhance teaching quality. 3/ Local Chapters: 705 districts 705 district-based communities led by trained Teacher Ambassadors, fostering peer-to-peer support, sharing AI practices, and building grassroots innovation. 4/ National AI Movement: Conferences, workshops, and competitions to showcase innovative AI applications in education, driving national awareness and adoption. 5/ Industry Collaboration: Global partnerships to embed AI into teacher training curriculums and align with national education reform goals.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution is designed to serve 100% of educators across Vietnam—reaching all 1.6 million teachers, regardless of their background, region, or school type— ensuring free, equal access to high-quality AI education and tools. 1/ Education Leaders (principals and department heads): They set the vision and policy for their schools, yet often lack updated resources and insights to bring AI innovations into teaching. 2/ General Educators (teachers in 63 provinces): They face large class sizes, time-consuming tasks like grading and lesson planning, and limited access to modern pedagogical strategies. 3/ Teacher Ambassadors (AI pioneers): These are the early adopters who want to innovate but often lack structured support, official backing, and reliable AI tools to champion transformative teaching methods. 4/ Pedagogy Students (future educators in universities/colleges): They will soon enter the workforce but rarely receive AI-focused training, leaving them unprepared for the rapidly evolving education landscape.
