LC App - Life cycling
Nowadays the great metropolises have some problems of mobility and health in general that affect their development. Cities have heavy traffic, bad weather and unhealthy ‘cause of the emission of vehicles gases, sedentary citizens and obesity on alert. Therefore, the project proposes to solve the problems mentioned by encouraging the use of bicycles in daily activities helping to reduce pollutant gases. The software will monitor the person's daily movement through the Google Maps API and then convert the distance into carbon credits, which can be used in a network of partners, doctors and for government tax rebates. We will solve the problems of obesity, sedentarism, urban traffic of vehicles and reduction of pollutants in the big cities, besides helping to improve physical safaty and mental health of the economically active population in a country.
Our project proposes to solve the following problems: Reducing the incidence of non-communicable diseases caused by air pollution, lack of physical activity, or unhealthy food. The United States has a fleet of 250 million vehicles, which daily emit a large amount of pollutants in the air. In 10 years about 14% of deaths due to respiratory problems were caused by unhealthy air due to gases a rate of 1.7% a year in the growth in the number of vehicles, this problem of deaths from gas and air pollution may increase. In addition to these factors such as respiratory diseases, there are issues of allergies and dermatitis that can be avoided. the reduction of vehicles and the promotion of the use of bicycles, we will develop a less sedentary society and the incentive and precaution of obesity, a problem that appears in the United States and in the world.
The initial project will have greater acceptance in the population that makes small daily commutes for their work or college, school. People between the ages of 14-36 will be more accepted in the transition from using cars to bicycles, as they will earn carbon credits for use. Carbon credits will add value to the population.
The solution consists of a software that will monitor the person's movement through the Google Maps API, through this monitoring, we will convert the realized bicycle displacement into carbon credits. These credits may be used in a partner network and for government tax rebates or payments. The software will have:
- Orientation to practice sports
- Climatic orientation and air quality
- Food aid for the diet of the person who starts cycling
- Monthly data of displacement and performance
- Flow of cars in the roads that will pass
- Information on cycle paths and orientation on the trip
- Reduce the incidence of NCDs from air pollution, lack of exercise, or unhealthy food
- Concept
- New application of an existing technology
The process for acquiring carbon credits through the exchange of a citizen's locomotion vehicle and the connection potential that it will have with the partner companies of the solution.
The technology used will be based on machine learning concepts in a multiplatform mobile application that will collect user data, learn from its routine and recommend to it, from cross-referencing its profile information with the daily route and quantity of carbon credits exchanges for the products of the partner companies. Application development will be hybrid in the Unity environment.

Our exchange currency with consumer and partners are carbon credits, representing a ton of carbon that is no longer emitted into the atmosphere, contributing to the waning of the greenhouse effect. So when our partners (multinational companies like industries) acquire the carbon credits generated by our users, we will be reducing the pollution rates of the companies and also the gases that would be issued by the users if they used a car, not a bicycle. In addition, we encourage the practice of sports through the use of bicycles.

In 2018-2019, 84 million bicycle trips and scooters were made, more than 200 million in 2020 and in 5 years we can be in most countries offering up to 1 billion trips a year.
For next year: complete the team, develop the app, expand the network of partners and start the testing phase.
For the next five years: strengthen the network of partners and reach the whole of America.
Barriers with local partnerships to offer products by credit and enter countries with high adherence
Government support for facilitation and a large-scale marketing campaign to generate identification with potential consumers.

Now, we are in the process of concept the idea. We are a pair of two engineering students (chemical engineering and computer engineering). With greater investments, we intend to add to the team developers and technical specialists, one responsible for the user's journey and someone to deal with the commercial partnerships.

our business model is based on encouraging people to use bicycles and scooters in exchange for carbon credits. These carbon credits can be exchanged for: products, store discounts and taxes, or sold to companies
There are two ways of capturing our model: the LC app will be able to buy carbon credits from users so they can be sold to large companies or to the country, and can be financially attractive as a marketplace envionment for companies if they agree expose your brand and your products.
We have seen that Solve together with MIT will provide us with support for building application technology and approaching companies to facilitate carbon credits
