What specific problem are you solving?
How do you survive in a world of verification without proving who you are? Today, over 1.5 billion people around the globe have no means to prove their identity. And 108 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced as a result of wars, political-religious persecution and climate change, losing access to vital personal documents such as graduated or present students' certificates. The loss of physical academic certificates once people move from one country to another and their titles not being recognised, because of the inconsistency of validation processes between countries, makes it impossible for refugees to rebuild a life. This leads to exclusion from education and employment opportunities, perpetuating poverty and inequality. Geography has the power to draw and define our existence. A reality that I want to share through their voices: “My family house was bombed three times: Oh my God, I’ll never get the opportunity to finish my studies" "I am a stateless person I do not have any document to prove who I am". —These are the voices behind the huge stats.
What is your solution?
In the past, we invented the passport to travel around the world easily. Imagine if every country could request a different document and process to access the country, who could travel more? Geoidentity aims to do for academic data what the passport did for travel: provide a universal, borderless system to authenticate identity & education globally. Geoidentity prevents vital data loss from wars, unpredictable climate, and political crises, using digital transformation to protect access to education & identity, turning them into undeniable human rights. It introduces a universal system for study validation with an academic blockchain-powered passport to preserve one’s identity. The new digital passport contains not only personal data, but also academic data, as a unique part of our identity. Data are logged and validated in a decentralized ledger, ensuring students can share their credentials with any host university in the world. By setting a new global standard for academic validation. Geoidentity it’s not just a tool for today’s displaced; it’s a vision for a world where education and opportunity are truly borderless. Like a shared ecosystem—Geoidentity connects students, universities, and institutions to cooperate across borders to protect something universal: the right to learn, to belong.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Geoidentity directly and meaningfully improves the lives of displaced and refugee graduates who are currently excluded from education and employment opportunities due to the loss or inaccessibility of verified academic records. While the end users are displaced individuals—especially the 1.4 million graduates among them—our paying clients are universities and third-party verifiers who benefit from a secure, scalable solution for credential verification. Globally, over 220 million people are enrolled in tertiary education, with 44 million actively seeking career opportunities. Among them, an estimated 100 million displaced individuals face systemic barriers caused by conflict, persecution, and climate-related crises. Geoidentity addresses this gap by providing a blockchain-powered academic passport that ensures secure, borderless recognition of qualifications. This solution empowers individuals with a portable, tamper-proof credential, restoring access to education and livelihoods. At the same time, it supports institutions with an efficient, trusted system to validate credentials across borders—streamlining processes and enhancing equity on a global scale.
