What specific problem are you solving?
In anglophone West Africa—specifically Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia—millions of secondary school students face systemic barriers to quality education. Despite rising enrollment rates, learning outcomes are declining. In Nigeria, over 60% of students fail national exams like WAEC and NECO annually, particularly in core subjects such as Math, English, and Science. Similar trends exist across the region, where students struggle with inadequate preparation, low teacher-to-student ratios, outdated methods, and limited access to relevant practice materials. Collectively, these five countries account for more than 30 million secondary school-aged learners. Many attend overcrowded public schools with limited access to technology or qualified educators. Students in rural or underserved communities are disproportionately affected, lacking the tools to succeed in high-stakes national assessments that determine future education and career paths. Our solution tackles these challenges by offering a mobile-first, curriculum-aligned AI powered learning platform tailored to national syllabi. It empowers students with personalized practice, instant feedback, and performance tracking—accessible online or offline. By bridging the gap between teaching and assessment, our platform improves exam readiness, promotes digital literacy, and enhances learning outcomes, creating a scalable model for transforming secondary education across West Africa.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Green Bridge CBT serves secondary school students in Anglophone West Africa, particularly in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia—countries with some of the region’s highest exam failure rates and limited access to quality educational resources. Our target users are typically students aged 12–19 in public or under-resourced schools. Many face systemic challenges: overcrowded classrooms, outdated teaching methods, minimal guidance counseling, lack of lab equipment, and unfamiliarity with computer-based testing (CBT) formats introduced by WAEC and JAMB. These students are often digitally excluded, underserved academically, and unsupported emotionally in their learning journey. In Liberia, for example, only 0.05% of students passed 5 subjects in 2020 (just 25 out of over 41,000 candidates), a requirement for university admission—highlighting the urgent need for support. Green Bridge CBT changes this by offering an affordable, mobile-first learning platform that delivers: - Curriculum-aligned practice tools - Real-time feedback and adaptive learning - Literature summaries, syllabuses, and exam timetables - A guidance and counselling chatbot offering academic, emotional, and career support - Offline functionality for low-connectivity environments - Multilingual access, including local languages By bridging learning, assessment, and student well-being, we help students improve performance, gain confidence, and access greater opportunities.
