What specific problem are you solving?
AlumUnite addresses the persistent lack of funding and resources in African education, which limits access to quality learning and opportunities for millions of students. Fragmented alumni networks, low private sector involvement, and insufficient visibility into school needs exacerbate this challenge. Without sustainable funding and engagement, public schools—serving up to 95% of Sub-Saharan African youth —struggle to provide quality education, further widening the socioeconomic gap.
Solving this problem is crucial to equipping Africa’s young population with the skills and opportunities they need to become productive citizens and to thrive in a global economy. By bridging education gaps, we ensure a brighter future for millions, addressing human capital development and Africa’s broader economic and social challenges.
What is your solution?
AlumUnite is transforming how African schools access education funding by building a scalable, AI-powered ecosystem that drives transparency, efficiency, and community participation.
Through tools like the AINAAS (AI Needs Assessment System), the Circles App for alumni and student engagement, and CodED, a real-time governance dashboard, AlumUnite empowers schools to identify and showcase their verified needs. These are matched with donor and alumni support, driven by gamified incentives and data-backed insights.
Rather than relying on sporadic or charity-based donations, AlumUnite introduces a structured and community-owned model for continuous funding. Our solution fills gaps in school resources and enhances governance and accountability, unlocking long-term resilience in the education system.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our primary beneficiaries are underserved secondary school communities across Africa (starting with Nigeria) —students, educators, and administrators—especially in rural or low-income regions.
Here's how we create impact:
- Students and early-career alumni gain access to better-equipped learning environments, mentorship, and career opportunities.
- Educators receive training and resources to improve teaching quality.
- Alumni and corporate donors engage in verified, high-impact giving with full transparency.
- Administrators get data tools to manage school needs and track progress.
By increasing funding velocity and empowering local stakeholders, we improve both access and quality in education, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure that every dollar raised contributes to measurable learning outcomes.
