What specific problem are you solving?
By 2030, 1 in 6 people worldwide will be aged above 60 versus 1 in 8 today. Population aging and improved integration of women into the workforce are contributing factors to the emergence of a new lifestyle where non-family caregivers are needed to attend to the vulnerable newborn and elderly at home. Families are often left struggling to find qualified, trusted caregivers, especially in remote areas. With the home care industry highly fragmented and largely unregulated, the process of hiring a caregiver becomes overwhelming, confusing, and filled with uncertainty. The lack of transparency in caregiver qualifications, pricing, and availability adds to the complexity, leading many families to make poor decisions under pressure, with potentially devastating consequences for their loved ones. At the same time, caregivers, many of whom are women from underprivileged communities, face a different set of challenges. The unregulated nature of the sector exposes them to risks of exploitation, abuse, and burnout. This not only results in poor quality of care but also perpetuates cycles of vulnerability and inequality within the caregiving workforce. Together, these problems create a home care experience that is stressful, unsafe, and unaffordable for both families in need of care and the caregivers themselves.

To solve these problems, Find A Nurse provides an innovative online platform that connects families with trusted caregivers in a transparent and user-friendly way. Families can browse verified caregiver profiles, review their qualifications, rates, hours of work provided through the platform, and transparent reviews added by previous clients. Families can then make informed decisions by selecting their preferred caregivers based on their specific needs. For caregivers, the platform sets clear policies to protect them from exploitation while ensuring families receive high-quality care. In addition, it empowers caregivers by providing flexible work opportunities, fair pay, and a safe environment.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our core customers are mothers aged 24–45. Many are working professionals returning to their careers post-childbirth or new mothers without nearby family support. They are underserved by a fragmented, unregulated care market that lacks transparency and trust. Our platform connects them with vetted, professional caregivers for reliable, personalized at-home newborn care. Our secondary customer segment comes from the elderly care market that consists of busy family members (between the ages of 30-60) of older adults and disabled that need at-home professional assistance with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Our solution also directly benefits caregivers, especially women from underserved communities. This includes educated professionals in low-paying jobs, and retired or hospital-experienced nurses seeking less strenuous, better-paying alternatives. These women are often vulnerable to exploitation due to the informal nature of the care sector. By providing a safe, transparent, and empowering platform, Find A Nurse improves care quality for families and creates sustainable, respectful employment for caregivers, positively transforming lives on both sides of the equation.
