What specific problem are you solving?
Many Indigenous communities are not benefitting from the advantages of digital inclusion and digital economy opportunities because of issues with access, reliability and affordability. This impacts education, health-care and business which are vital for Indigenous sovereignty. Imagine a community where every end-user (public or business) can connect from everywhere in the area, has a high-speed connection and has affordable internet. Our business approach, technology solutions and knowledge sharing partnership will lay the foundation and help guide our Indigenous Community partners to future ready and sustainable digital economy. Our community centered approach will ensure that all parts and levels of the community can participate in the digital opportunities, with a special focus on students and low-income households to guarantee affordable universal internet access. In addition, our proposed advanced solutions are 'future' ready' and will enable the newest (smart) applications. Our approach and technology is rapidly scalable to any size of community and will be implemented in close collaboration with our community partners to ensure cultural alignment and achievement of set objectives. From a cost perspective our solution can save the community 50% to 90% of network infrastructure costs, when compared to other/traditional network infrastructure solutions.
What is your solution?
Our approach and solution promotes indigenous sovereignty though sustainable, community owned, culturally aligned digital infrastructure providing access to new economic opportunities. Our approach and solution includes (1) use of existing advanced network infrastructure technologies and (2) an end-user centric demand-based approach and (3) a disruptive (service) value-based business model. (1) We combine the use our partner's patented advanced software defined wireless technology with other existing network infrastructure to form a full coverage, high-speed, last-mile network infrastructure. The key technology component of our solution is RadioLED's patented wireless mesh network technology, which includes advanced software defined remote radio head devices, built-in multiprotocol radio frequency capabilities between 450kHz and 6GHz, with built-in edge-computing, AI and (distributed) data-center functionalities, for outdoor and indoor use. (2) Our demand-based approach for growth and our (AI enabled) self steering/self-healing network ensures the network delivers the most suitable service experience to each user. (3) Our business model is focused on providing (digital services and content) value to the end-users. The connection simply is a tool that enables the digital service. Our solution can be designed/offered as a Network as a Service (operated by RadioLED) or as a license to use RadioLED software/technology to build and operate Indigenous (owned) Networks.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution, the Indigenous Core Network, is designed for providing 100% coverage of any selected area and connecting providing services to any number between 1000 and 10.000.000+ inhabitants, households and businesses. The Indigenous Core Network will connect un(der)-served students, healthcare workers and low-income households to affordable, reliable, high-speed internet. The Indigenous Community partner will have the opportunity to enable services on/through the network infrastructure and develop new services on the network. Furthermore, EGC will guide the local Indigenous Community partner to optimize the use of the Indigenous Core Network to generate new services and revenue streams. The impact will be significant for Indigenous communities that are currently forced to pay for high amounts for building new digital infrastructure. Imagine being able to include 10x more people, households and businesses, with the same budget. This will accelerate the reduction of the digital divide.
