What specific problem are you solving?
We are solving the problem of medical misdiagnosis—one of the most dangerous and overlooked issues in global health. In the United States, 12 million adults are misdiagnosed every year, with nearly 800,000 suffering serious harm or death [Singh et al., 2014; Johns Hopkins, 2023]. According to the World Health Organization, at least 1 in 20 adults in high-income countries are misdiagnosed annually during outpatient care—translating to hundreds of millions of cases globally.
The problem is worst in communities with overworked doctors, few diagnostic tools, and limited data sharing. Misdiagnosis rates are 20–30% higher among women and people of color, making this a serious equity issue [National Academy of Medicine, 2015; Connecticut Health Foundation, 2022]. These mistakes delay care, raise costs, and damage trust in health systems.
Doctors are under pressure to make fast decisions with limited information—and many don’t have access to tools that could help them avoid mistakes.
DiagnosisAid offers a solution: a quantum AI tool that gives doctors real-time support to identify possible diagnoses quickly and accurately. We’re helping them make better decisions in the moments that matter most—especially where the stakes are highest.
What is your solution?
DiagnosisAid is a quantum AI-powered tool that helps doctors make faster, more accurate diagnoses—especially in underserved communities where mistakes cost lives.
Here’s how it works: A doctor inputs a patient’s symptoms, history, or even a voice recording. DiagnosisAid uses artificial intelligence and quantum computing to compare this information to millions of real cases across global data sets. It instantly returns a list of the top 3–5 likely diagnoses, with suggestions for tests or next steps.
What makes it different is our focus on equity and real-world impact. DiagnosisAid adjusts its suggestions based on local disease trends, regional medical practices, and population-specific health risks—so a patient in rural West Africa or the Bronx receives diagnostic support that fits their context, not just textbook norms.
Our value proposition is simple but powerful: We bring advanced, accurate diagnostic support to places where it's needed most—without requiring new infrastructure, expensive hardware, or full-time specialists. It runs on mobile devices, supports voice input, and works in multiple languages.
By equipping providers with the right information at the right time, DiagnosisAid helps close diagnostic gaps, reduce harm, and build trust in healthcare systems.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
DiagnosisAid is designed to serve patients and providers in communities that are often left behind—low-income neighborhoods, rural towns, Indigenous lands, refugee settlements, and underserved urban areas. These are places where medical misdiagnosis is most common and most dangerous.
For patients, a missed or delayed diagnosis can mean prolonged pain, permanent disability, or even death. It also erodes trust in the healthcare system, creating a cycle where people avoid care until it’s too late. For providers, it means burnout, second-guessing, and gaps in care that are hard to close.
DiagnosisAid offers a practical, accessible tool that helps clinicians catch diagnostic errors early. By generating fast, evidence-based differential diagnoses, we help doctors make better decisions, even in high-pressure, resource-limited environments.
Imagine a rural doctor facing a rare case with little time or support—DiagnosisAid becomes a second brain, helping that doctor consider overlooked possibilities. For patients, this means getting the right diagnosis sooner and starting the right treatment faster.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that no one is misdiagnosed just because of where they live or what resources their clinic has. We’re building a system where every patient, everywhere, gets a fair shot at the right care.
