Our win-win-win dairy aggregation system empowers local entrepreneurs with EV Trikes to run IoT-enabled collection routes, gathering milk from smallholder farmers at scheduled points and delivering it to contracted dairy processors. For example, we support Masai women who previously walked 10km daily, risking spoilage or missed buyers, to now transport 10-50 liters of milk efficiently. Each trike aggregates at least...

What specific problem are you solving?
Rural African communities face a number of challenges, but lack of “proximity” and transport is a critical impediment to economic growth. Poor transport infrastructure, including roads and railways, impede connectivity and increase the cost of moving goods and people. This also leads to the lack of local value creation. Many rural African communities struggle to address the demand from local markets and local value addition, (e.g. ketchup is imported from UAE while tomatoes rot in the market). This makes it difficult to achieve economies of scale and specialize..
What is your solution?
Our win-win-win dairy aggregation system empowers local entrepreneurs with EV Trikes to run IoT-enabled collection routes, gathering milk from smallholder farmers at scheduled points and delivering it to contracted dairy processors. For example, we support Masai women who previously walked 10km daily, risking spoilage or missed buyers, to now transport 10-50 liters of milk efficiently. Each trike aggregates at least 350 liters per day, covering the costs of hubs, batteries, trikes, and operations while ensuring reliable income for farmers and steady supply for offtakers.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution directly serves indigenous smallholder farmers, local farmer groups and Cooperatives across East Africa. These are marginalized farmers who often operate in remote areas with poor road infrastructure, limited access to markets, and inefficient payment systems. Our solution offers: Affordable and clean transport for produce (E-Trikes) Real-time tracking and digital transparency (Songa Mobility) Cold-chain options to reduce spoilage Simple, secure payment solutions (Mobile/Bank transfer through Songa nobility Aggregation and coordination for bulk delivery Songa Mobility allows farmers to access higher-value markets, faster payment processing and more transparently, and reducing environmental impact. It improves financial inclusion, particularly for women and youth who frequently lack access to formal financial services and infrastructure. We digitize and track the journey from farm to market, we create traceable value chains that attract more offtakers, buyers, and investment into indigenous agriculture.
