What specific problem are you solving?
More than 300,000 women die each year from pregnancy and childbirth complications—most of them preventable. 95% of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, where health systems are often under-resourced and overstretched. But even in high-income countries, maternal outcomes are declining due to fragmented care, poor postpartum follow-up, and missed early warning signs. Globally, 1.5 billion women of reproductive age lack access to comprehensive maternal care. Over 7 million live in care deserts with no maternity providers at all. Critical conditions like postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia, preterm labor, and depression often go unflagged until it’s too late—because care is reactive, episodic, and disconnected from women's lived experiences. The World Health Organization calls for scalable, tech-enabled solutions to close these gaps—but most tools today are either narrowly focused, stop at birth, or aren’t built to adapt across infrastructure, languages, and cultural contexts. Health systems face rising maternal care costs and workforce shortages, with no clear path to scale support. Myri Health addresses this global crisis with AI-powered care pathways that detect risk earlier, support recovery longer, and work even where providers are limited—so every mother, everywhere, can be seen, heard, and supported.
What is your solution?
Myri Health is an AI-powered maternal health platform that delivers personalized care across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—digitally, globally, and on-demand. Built for health systems, governments, and NGOs, Myri helps identify risks earlier, guide recovery longer, and close gaps in care where traditional systems fall short. Through a mobile app and care coordination dashboard, Myri provides mothers with culturally sensitive, stage-specific guidance; AI-driven symptom checkers; personalized care plans; and mental and physical health support. At the same time, providers, doulas, and care teams get population-level analytics, early warning flags, and tools to triage and prioritize care—especially in low-resource or decentralized settings. Our tech includes predictive analytics, natural language processing, and a multilingual chatbot designed to function in areas with low bandwidth or limited clinical access. Myri also enables offline data capture and syncs when connectivity returns—making it functional across rural and underserved regions. Already used in 44 countries, Myri adapts to the infrastructure, language, and cultural needs of diverse populations. Whether it’s a mother in Nairobi or rural Kansas, Myri empowers her journey with intelligent, inclusive, and evidence-based care—without requiring her to navigate broken systems alone.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Myri Health serves pregnant and postpartum women—particularly those in underserved, under-resourced, and care-fragmented settings across the globe. Our primary users are mothers navigating high-risk pregnancies, maternity care deserts, or weak postpartum support systems. Many live in rural or low-income areas, face systemic bias, or lack consistent access to skilled providers, mental health care, or rehabilitation services like pelvic floor therapy. These women are often expected to monitor complex symptoms alone, recover without guidance, and make critical decisions with little support. Health systems, meanwhile, lack scalable tools to track these mothers, intervene early, or coordinate care across providers. Myri changes that by placing personalized, AI-driven support directly in a mother’s hands—while also equipping health systems, community health workers, and NGOs with the insights to act faster and smarter. We provide multilingual, culturally attuned content, predictive symptom tracking, recovery milestones, and mental health screening that adapts to real-world infrastructure constraints. For mothers, it means fewer complications, earlier interventions, and safer recoveries. For systems, it means data to close care gaps and prevent loss. For communities, it means healthier families and stronger futures—one mother at a time.
