In countries like Colombia, pervasive underdiagnosis stems from a lack of awareness, stigma, and insufficient integration of mental health within school and primary care systems (Pineda et al., 2014). Educators, often the first line of observation, lack culturally relevant tools or training to identify ADHD symptoms accurately.
