What specific problem are you solving?
Globally, over 750 million people suffer from tinnitus, a chronic auditory condition characterized by the constant perception of sounds like ringing or buzzing without any external source, severely affecting their quality of life. In Peru alone, an estimated 532,000 people are affected, with more than 165,000 cases concentrated in Lima. Tinnitus has no pharmacological cure, and limited healthcare infrastructure often fails to diagnose or treat it properly. Patients commonly experience insomnia, difficulty concentrating, and high levels of anxiety and depression. The burden is even greater among populations exposed to high noise levels, such as in mining and construction sectors, where auditory disorders are rising. Worldwide, the WHO projects that by 2050, one in four people will experience some form of hearing loss.
What is your solution?
"Tinnitus Lab is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that automates, personalizes, and makes accessible the diagnosis and treatment of chronic tinnitus—a condition that causes persistent ringing or buzzing in the ears. Our patented biomedical system integrates a specialized device and a cloud-based software platform to deliver non-invasive auditory therapy tailored to each patient’s condition.
Using advanced digital signal processing, our algorithm emits sound frequencies designed to retrain the brain’s abnormal auditory activity. The process begins with an automated diagnostic test, after which the system generates a personalized treatment plan. Patients receive therapy through 8 to 14 sound sessions, either in clinics or remotely via our desktop app, making the solution highly scalable across regions with limited access to specialized care. Our SaaS model ensures continuous data monitoring, real-time treatment adjustments, and secure remote access for healthcare professionals. This approach drastically reduces costs while maintaining high treatment effectiveness—up to 90% symptom reduction reported. Tinnitus Lab brings a previously inaccessible, high-tech solution to a widespread and underserved global health need.
