What specific problem are you solving?
Across the globe, over 970 million people suffer from emotional and neurological dysregulation, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, and psychosomatic syndromes. These conditions are often co-morbid and resistant to monomodal interventions. Existing mental health tools lack real-time, biologically responsive feedback, rendering them insufficient for individuals requiring moment-to-moment co-regulation. Furthermore, clinical resources are overburdened, while neurodiverse individuals are systematically underserved due to sensory sensitivities or communication barriers. From a neurobiological standpoint, such conditions are characterized by impaired autonomic balance, chronic sympathetic dominance, and disrupted neuromodulation involving GABA, dopamine, BDNF, and serotonin systems. Environmental stressors, trauma imprinting, and unprocessed affective loads further contribute to long-term allostatic overload and neurochemical exhaustion. There is a clear need for adaptive, science-backed, and portable systems that can provide non-invasive, precise, and dynamically adjustable stimulation tailored to real-time physiological states. AION addresses this by offering a closed-loop neuroadaptive platform that senses, interprets, and responds to emotional dysregulation at its biological roots—through intelligent multisensory intervention.

It integrates biometric sensors (EEG, HRV, GSR, EMG, infrared thermography) and emotional AI (via AI Face) to construct a neuro-affective profile of the user’s internal state. This profile dynamically drives three simultaneous, non-invasive interventions: • Vibrotactile stimulation across cranial and spinal autonomic pathways, modulating vagal tone and rebalancing sympathetic-parasympathetic activity • Photobiomodulation (630–850nm) acting on cytochrome c oxidase to enhance mitochondrial ATP production, BDNF expression, and neural repair • Binaural neuroacoustics, matched to individual EEG frequencies (SMR, alpha, theta), to facilitate entrainment and thalamocortical synchrony The system, created by Dr. Dimitrios G. Kimoglou, operates through a closed-loop AI engine trained to detect arousal shifts and dysautonomic patterns, adjusting interventions in real time.
