What specific problem are you solving?
Nonprofits and social enterprises are facing a growing crisis: how to sustain and scale their work in the face of shrinking aid globally. In the last three years, over $6 billion in global aid funding has disappeared, while humanitarian needs have reached an all-time high—over 274 million people in need globally (UN OCHA). Many mission-driven organizations are struggling to adapt, lacking the business development skills, tools, and resources needed to compete for funding and grow sustainably. LumaPath is an AI-driven platform built to solve this problem. It helps organizations transition from aid dependency to opportunity-driven growth by diagnosing their business development gaps, delivering tailored, self-paced training modules, and equipping them with the skills to fundraise and scale effectively. Rooted in expert insights and real-world case studies, LumaPath simplifies complex challenges into practical, actionable steps. What makes LumaPath transformative is its built-in AI prospecting engine, which identifies high-potential leads and funding opportunities—dramatically reducing the time and guesswork in finding partners and closing deals. By combining diagnostics, learning, and lead generation in a single tool, LumaPath enables organizations not just to survive funding cuts—but to grow through them.
What is your solution?
LumaPath is an AI-powered platform that helps global development organizations build capacity in business development and partnerships—faster, smarter, and more affordably than traditional methods. Instead of relying on costly consultants or one-size-fits-all workshops, LumaPath offers a scalable alternative through adaptive diagnostics, personalized learning paths, and automated prospecting tools. At its core is a machine learning–driven diagnostic engine that assesses each organization’s strengths, gaps, and readiness across key business development areas. Based on these insights, LumaPath generates a custom, self-paced training plan aligned with sector-specific goals. The content is interactive, modular, and grounded in entrepreneurship education, adult learning theory, and real-world development scenarios. What truly sets LumaPath apart is its AI-powered prospecting engine. It scans global funding databases, donor platforms, and partnership portals to create a tailored pipeline of opportunities. This bridges the gap between learning and action—enabling users to immediately apply skills and pursue real prospects. By combining data analytics, adaptive learning, and AI matchmaking, LumaPath equips mission-driven organizations to thrive in an increasingly competitive funding landscape—without the need for large internal teams or external consultants.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
LumaPath serves global development agencies, NGOs, and social enterprises—particularly those in low- and middle-income countries—that face persistent challenges in business development and partnership building. These organizations are vital to achieving impact on the ground, yet many lack the internal capacity to secure funding, build strategic alliances, or adapt to the shifting development landscape. According to the OECD, over 50% of local NGOs are excluded from direct donor funding due to limited resources for proposal writing, partnership management, and long-term planning. At the same time, global aid flows dropped by more than $6 billion between 2020 and 2023, putting further pressure on organizations to innovate their approach to growth and sustainability. Designed for organizations without dedicated business development teams, LumaPath levels the playing field by turning complex strategic planning into an accessible, step-by-step process. It supports grassroots implementers, regional networks, and mid-sized development actors who are often closest to the problem—but furthest from the funding. By doing so, LumaPath redefines capacity building for a more equitable, agile, and connected global development ecosystem.
