What specific problem are you solving?
ReframeXR addresses the equity and engagement gap in STEM education by transforming traditional classrooms into real-time immersive learning environments. In the U.S., fewer than 40% of high school seniors are proficient in STEM subjects, with even lower rates among students of color and those in under-resourced communities. Many emerging edtech tools, especially in VR, require costly infrastructure and remove students from their physical context, limiting accessibility and identity-based learning. While VR has shown effective gains in education, it has come at the cost of student and teacher isolation. Combined with the over-reliance on impersonal 2D product solutions that drive too much alone togetherness, we aim to bring humanity back to the digital classroom.

ReframeXR is an immersive learning platform designed to transform traditional classrooms into real-time interactive environments across tablets and XR headsets. It empowers educators to create spatial lessons, facilitate real-time collaboration, and increase student engagement while maintaining the physical classroom context. This looks like helping schools merge the physical and digital worlds, turning lessons into dynamic, interactive experiences that enhance spatial reasoning and deepen student engagement with each other.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our primary focus is on students who are disengaged from STEM learning due to limited access to hands-on, inclusive, and collaborative experiences. These students - often from low-income, BIPOC, or English learner backgrounds - are disproportionately affected by outdated instructional models and isolated edtech solutions that overlook the importance of identity, interaction, and accessibility. Reframe addresses their needs by turning classrooms into spatial, real-time learning environments accessible via tablets and XR headsets. Unlike traditional VR, our platform keeps students grounded in their physical space, enabling collaboration, communication, and culturally relevant learning without the barriers of avatars or disconnection. For educators, Reframe provides intuitive tools to design and facilitate lessons that support differentiated instruction and real-time group learning. Reframe helps students see themselves in STEM and thrive within a learning environment that values both their minds and identities by enhancing spatial reasoning, engagement, and inclusion.
