What specific problem are you solving?
Alzheimer’s is one of the most complex global health challenges of our time and one of the most overlooked when it comes to early intervention. While over 55 million people live with dementia worldwide, most deaths occur not from memory loss, but from preventable complications like pneumonia, sepsis, or cardiac events. As the disease progresses, patients lose the ability to communicate symptoms, leading to dangerous delays in care.
Caregivers, often family members are left without the tools to detect subtle health changes or anticipate risks. They operate reactively, relying on observation alone, with no real-time insight into the patient’s condition.
This lack of continuous, intelligent monitoring results in missed warning signs, higher hospitalization rates, and a reduced quality of life for both patients and caregivers.
Our solution, ALZI, addresses this urgent gap. It combines wearable sensors, predictive AI, and real-time alerts to detect early signs of health deterioration. ALZI turns passive care into proactive care helping prevent avoidable crises and offering peace of mind to those who need it most.
What is your solution?
ALZI is a wearable, AI-powered health companion designed specifically for people living with Alzheimer’s. It continuously monitors key health signals like heart rate, breathing, body temperature, movement, and even eating and sleep patterns using discreet medical grade sensors built into a comfortable smart T-shirt.
What makes ALZI unique is its ability to detect danger before it becomes visible. Behind the scenes, powerful deep learning models analyze this real-time data to predict health risks such as respiratory infections, cardiac events, falls, or sleep disturbances. If the system detects something unusual, it immediately alerts caregivers through an app, SMS, or email giving them the chance to act early.
The device also tracks daily routines, offering helpful suggestions to improve sleep quality, meal timing, or physical activity. Everything is managed through a user friendly dashboard that helps caregivers understand the patient’s condition without needing medical expertise.
ALZI transforms caregiving from reactive to proactive. It’s not just a device it’s a safety net, a guide, and a daily support system for patients and families alike.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution directly supports people living with Alzheimer’s and the caregivers who dedicate their lives to them, a population often invisible in global health strategies.
As Alzheimer’s progresses, patients lose the ability to express symptoms or follow daily routines. This puts them at high risk for preventable complications like infections, falls, or cardiac events. Most remain at home, supported by family caregivers who lack medical training and real-time tools to detect early warning signs.
ALZI bridges this gap. It’s a wearable, AI-powered system that continuously monitors health signals like heart rate, breathing, sleep, movement, and eating patterns. When it detects something unusual, it sends alerts and personalized guidance to caregivers enabling early action, not crisis response.
For patients, ALZI provides safety, structure, and stability. For caregivers, it reduces stress and empowers them with information they can trust.
By shifting care from reactive to proactive, ALZI helps prevent avoidable health emergencies, improves daily well-being, and lightens the burden on caregivers all while promoting dignity and independence for patients.
This is a scalable, data-driven approach to one of the world’s most pressing aging-related challenges.
