At Morado, we are solving the systemic lack of financial access and operational efficiency for small and medium beauty businesses in Latin America—an industry largely driven by women. In Colombia alone, over 500,000 beauty professionals operate informally, often without access to credit, inventory financing, or data-driven tools to grow their businesses. Globally, over 60% of micro-entrepreneurs are women, yet they receive less than 10% of available credit. This lack of access keeps them in cycles of low growth, financial insecurity, and vulnerability to informal lending. Morado addresses this by offering embedded credit, intelligent inventory sourcing, and working capital tools tailored to the unique cash flow cycles of beauty entrepreneurs. Our AI-backed platform empowers them to access quality products and financing—even without formal credit histories. To date, we’ve empowered over 32,000 women across Colombia and financed more than $8M in inventory. But this is just the beginning. With over 12 million beauty professionals across Latin America, the opportunity—and the need—for a scalable, inclusive solution is massive. By removing the barriers to capital and operational growth, Morado is helping women build resilient businesses and transform their economic futures.

Morado is the financial operating system for beauty entrepreneurs in Latin America. We combine embedded credit, inventory sourcing, and cash flow management into a single AI-backed platform built specifically for the informal beauty economy. Our entire solution is 100% digital. We meet beauty entrepreneurs where they are—through WhatsApp and our website—so they can run their businesses without friction or complexity. Users can access inventory on credit with no paperwork or prior credit history. Our technology analyzes data like purchase behavior, repayment history, and local product demand to generate dynamic credit offers and personalized inventory recommendations. In simple terms: we help beauty businesses stock up on the right products without upfront cash, manage their operations, and grow sustainably. Morado also partners with top beauty brands and distributors, giving users access to the best products at competitive prices. We automate logistics, payments, and credit underwriting behind the scenes—unlocking financial opportunity for entrepreneurs who have historically been underserved. You can see our solution in action at: www.moradocolombia.com By building a mobile-first, intuitive, and accessible platform, Morado is laying the foundation for the next generation of women-led businesses in Latin America.

Morado serves the 3+ million independent beauty entrepreneurs across Latin America—primarily women—who are the economic backbone of their communities but remain invisible to the formal financial system. These women run small salons, beauty studios, or sell products from home, often in low-income neighborhoods. Despite their high activity and demand, they lack access to credit, inventory, and business tools due to informality, lack of credit history, and limited digital access. Our solution transforms their reality by providing embedded credit to purchase inventory, personalized recommendations based on local demand, and access to top beauty brands—all through WhatsApp and our website. This enables them to restock without upfront cash, increase sales, and improve their margins. By giving them credit, financial visibility, and a direct line to the formal economy, Morado helps these women grow their businesses, stabilize their incomes, and gain economic independence. Many of our users are first-time credit holders, and over 70% of our community reinvests profits into their families' education, health, and wellbeing. In short, Morado turns informal beauty workers into formal micro-entrepreneurs—unlocking dignity, opportunity, and long-term impact at scale.
