What specific problem are you solving?
People with disabilities (PwDs) in Vietnam face significant barriers to education, employment, and digital inclusion, limiting their ability to live independently and fully participate in society. In Vietnam, only 32% of PwDs of working age are employed, often in informal or unstable jobs, and many face stigma, inaccessible infrastructure, and limited access to quality vocational training. The digital divide further widens inequality, with many PwDs unable to access or use the internet effectively for education or employment.
Globally, only 10% of PwDs have access to assistive technology, and many are excluded from the fast-growing digital economy. Yet, IT careers present a unique opportunity: they are remote-friendly, accessible, and scalable—ideal for many PwDs who face mobility or discrimination barriers.
Our solution tackles this gap by providing free IT vocational training, digital skills, and employment support tailored to PwDs in Vietnam. We address both the lack of skills and the lack of inclusive job opportunities, helping PwDs secure sustainable, dignified livelihoods.
With over 7 million PwDs in Vietnam and 1.3 billion worldwide, scalable and inclusive digital solutions are urgently needed—and possible.
What is your solution?
Our solution empowers people with disabilities (PwDs) in Vietnam through free, intensive IT vocational training and comprehensive job placement support. We help PwDs build careers in technology — a field where they can work remotely, use their strengths, and overcome physical and social barriers.
Each student joins a 6-month full-day course, learning from basic computer skills to advanced digital jobs such as photo (2D, 3D) editing, image annotation, video editing, and digital marketing. We integrate soft skills, digital safety awareness, and career orientation to ensure readiness for the real job market. Graduates are supported with job matching, internships, and follow-up coaching.
We use widely accessible technology and online platforms (like Zoom, Canva, and cloud tools) to create an inclusive, hybrid learning environment that works even in low-resource settings. Our training center is also adapted with assistive devices for students with mobility or hearing.
More than just teaching skills, we build a pathway to dignity, income, and independence for those often left behind.
Since 2003, our initiative has trained over 1,800 PwDs, with over 70% securing jobs. We aim to scale this model nationwide.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution directly serves youth and adults with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Vietnam, especially those from low-income families and rural areas. These individuals often face multiple barriers: limited access to education, inaccessible environments, social stigma, and few opportunities for stable employment.
Many are confined to their homes, dependent on family members, and excluded from economic and social participation. Even though they have the ability and motivation to work, they are often overlooked due to bias and a lack of inclusive training and employment pathways.
Our solution provides them with free IT training, soft skills development, digital safety awareness, and job placement support. By equipping them with market-relevant digital skills, we open doors to careers they can do remotely or in inclusive workplaces — such as digital design, image tagging, content moderation, or online selling.
This not only improves their income but also restores confidence, self-worth, and independence. For women with disabilities or from marginalized backgrounds, we provide tailored mentoring to support their growth and leadership.
Ultimately, we aim to shift public perception about what people with disabilities and vulnerable groups can achieve — and support their full inclusion in Vietnam’s digital future.
