What specific problem are you solving?
The lack of access to socioemotional education has contributed to one of the most pervasive global issues: gender-based violence (GBV). In Mexico, over 70% of women aged 15 and older have experienced some form of GBV. This is largely because violence has been normalized and embedded into social dynamics, often going unrecognized.
Socioemotional skills like self-awareness, boundary-setting, and emotional regulation are essential for building healthy relationships and preventing violence. Yet these skills are rarely taught in traditional education systems, especially in high-risk environments. These topics are often stigmatized and deprioritized, and they require safe, supportive spaces where people feel comfortable opening up, which are difficult to create. Shame, stigma, and cultural myths further limit access to resources that help individuals develop socioemotional skills, especially those needed to recognize and prevent violence.
This educational gap can have serious consequences on the well being of people. Without tools to understand or talk about what they’re experiencing, many individuals, especially women and youth, internalize harmful behaviors and emotional distress. This perpetuates cycles of violence, affecting people´s ability to thrive in all other aspects of their lives. Addressing this gap is essential for advancing education, mental health, gender equality, and human rights.
What is your solution?
Violetta is a psychoeducational tool that provides socioemotional support through a safe, accessible, and confidential space, combining technology with expert knowledge to prevent violence and help people build healthy relationships. Our solution integrates four key services:
1. Violetta Chatbot on WhatsApp

2. Violetta AI on Web
Chatbot using generative AI (LLM) for deeper, personalized conversations. Trained with a gender perspective, human rights approach, trauma-sensitive content and ethical safety protocols that prioritize user well-being. It recognizes when its own limitations require escalation and guides users toward professional care.
3. Violetta Helpline
In partnership with Fundación Origen, this free helpline offers psychological support from a team of 27 clinical psychologists, available 24/7 via phone or text.
4. Workshops
We complement our digital tools with educational workshops that foster reflection, learning, and behavior change. These sessions help participants identify harmful relationship dynamics, challenge social norms, and build new tools for emotional well-being. We offer them in schools, community centers, and workplaces.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Violetta targets women ages 18–35 from C- and C socio-economic backgrounds in urban areas marked by insecurity, overcrowding, and limited access to education, jobs, and mobility. Many have experienced violence and seek to improve their lives and health but face economic, social, and systemic barriers to mental health services that meet their needs. This gap delays recognition and treatment of emotional distress and other effects of violence, harming long-term health and relationship quality. Violetta bridges this gap by helping users understand their experiences, manage their well-being, and take informed steps toward healthier relationships.
We’ve identified three primary user groups:
Individuals exploring new relationships and looking for information. Violetta serves as a psychoeducational tool, helping them recognize healthy and unhealthy dynamics, build self-awareness, and make informed decisions that support their mental and emotional well-being.
Individuals facing specific challenges, such as coping with anxiety or stress, or navigating issues related to sexuality. Violetta functions as a support system, offering guidance, emotional regulation tools, and strategies to help them care for their health in real time.
Individuals experiencing violence. They may face emotional distress and physical risk. Violetta helps them understand their situation and, when needed, connects them directly to professional support.
