What specific problem are you solving?
Access to safe and clean drinking water remains a critical challenge in underserved and remote communities, where manual testing is infrequent, delayed, or completely absent. Over 2 billion people globally use drinking water sources contaminated with faeces (WHO), leading to 485,000 diarrhoeal deaths annually. In India alone, over 67% of rural households lack access to piped, tested water. Existing methods are expensive, non-scalable, and rely heavily on human intervention. Climate-vulnerable regions and humanitarian settings, where water sources are rapidly changing and poorly monitored, compound the problem. CLUIX addresses this gap by offering an automated, real-time, and cost-effective solution for continuous water quality monitoring—empowering both citizens and institutions with actionable data.
What is your solution?
CLUIX is an AI-enabled IoT device that continuously monitors critical water quality parameters—such as pH, turbidity, TDS, temperature, and residual chlorine—in real time. Designed for affordability and durability, the device transmits data to a cloud-based dashboard accessible by users, local authorities, and NGOs via web or mobile platforms. It uses proprietary low-cost sensing technology, solar-powered units for off-grid areas, and AI algorithms for predictive insights and contamination alerts. The solution eliminates delays and subjectivity associated with manual testing, enabling real-time decision-making, preventive action, and public health assurance.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
CLUIX primarily serves last-mile communities, especially in rural, peri-urban, and climate-vulnerable regions where water quality is rarely tested or monitored. This includes households, school children, healthcare workers, and marginalized populations reliant on unsafe or variable water sources. It also supports public health officials, NGOs, and utility providers by offering real-time, reliable water data.
By replacing irregular, manual testing with continuous monitoring, CLUIX enables early detection of contamination, reduces disease outbreaks, and improves trust in water supply. For institutions, it ensures compliance, efficient resource deployment, and data-driven water governance. Overall, the solution enhances health outcomes, climate resilience, and community empowerment through inclusive, tech-enabled access to clean water.
