What specific problem are you solving?
Billions of people live in buildings without adequate insulation, leaving them exposed to extreme temperatures, poor air quality, and energy insecurity. In low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), conventional glazing is often too expensive or unavailable, particularly in informal settlements, disaster zones, or post-conflict areas. Poor window infrastructure drives up heating and cooling costs, worsens health outcomes, and contributes to global emissions - with buildings responsible for 27% of global energy use.
Predominant solutions such as glass windows or OSB boarding are heavy, fragile, expensive, and require skilled labor to install. In emergency settings, alternative temporary coverings like tarpaulins fail to insulate or let light through, forcing people to live in dark, cold, or overheated spaces for months on end.
We’re solving the global infrastructure gap in access to low-cost, effective, easy-to-install insulation. Our product, EasyFrame, directly addresses three core barriers: cost, complexity, and supply chain fragility. With over 44,000 installations already completed in Ukriane, we now aim to reach millions of buildings globally, from cyclone-hit regions of Asia to urban slums in Africa; restoring thermal comfort, dignity, and safety with a tool that anyone can install, anywhere.
What is your solution?
EasyFrame is a flat-packed, self-install window kit that restores insulation, light, and weather protection to buildings in low-resource settings without the need for skilled labor, tools, or glue.
Each unit contains a lightweight uPVC frame and two layers of shatterproof PET plastic glazing. The components snap together in three simple steps using a unique mechanical grip system - no adhesives, no staples. Once assembled, the window can be mounted into damaged or unfinished openings in under 10 minutes.
EasyFrame is designed to be shipped and stored efficiently, making it ideal for disaster response, conflict zones, and informal settlements where conventional glazing is either too costly, unavailable, or unsuitable. Unlike tarps or OSB boards, it is transparent, insulating, and durable and so delivers immediate improvements in comfort, safety, and dignity.
The system can be adapted to different sizes and upgraded with swappable glazing layers for varied climates and conditions. The materials can be disassembled and recycled after use.
This is not a window in the traditional sense. It’s a radically simplified, ultra-deployable insulation tool designed for global scale.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution serves people living in poorly insulated, damaged, or informal buildings across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This includes families in post-disaster zones, residents of informal urban settlements, and displaced populations in refugee and conflict-affected areas.
These communities are often underserved by formal construction markets. Conventional windows are unaffordable, fragile, and require skilled labor to install - all of which are out of reach in many LMIC settings. In emergency situations, people are frequently forced to cover broken windows with plastic sheeting or wooden boards, which fail to insulate or let in light. This leads to cold homes, overheating, poor ventilation, and psychological distress.
EasyFrame gives people the ability to restore insulation and protection themselves, without waiting for external contractors or expensive materials. The window kit is self-installable, affordable, and designed to work in any setting, whether it's a war-damaged home, a school hit by a cyclone, or a clinic in an informal settlement.
By improving indoor temperatures, reducing energy loss, and letting in natural light, EasyFrame enhances safety, health, comfort, and dignity, transforming the experience of shelter for the world’s most vulnerable households.
