MasterApp is a tiered access mobile application with 3 main functions to address AMR: 1. A Learning Hub providing community-based antimicrobial resistance reinforced education on access, quality monitoring and use of antimicrobials through tailored audiovisuals in local languages for community health workers, dispensers, pharmacy technicians and veterinary store attendants to share with users of antimicrobials at the point of purchase....

What specific problem are you solving?
Transferable anti-microbial resistance (AMR) occur in human and animal hosts' gut during dysbiosis -an imbalance in gut bacteria composition, metabolism and distribution due to maladministration of antimicrobials (fake, substandard, adulterated, incomplete use and wrong administration). This problem is compounded by a porous and ineffective supply chain exercabated by inefficient supplies leading to stock outs of quality antimicrobials. In the pharmaceutical supply, environment and food chains, MasterApp solves supply chain porosity (quality and access) allowing substandard and falsified antimicrobials as well as stock outs; and wrong administration (use) of antibiotics while collecting community-based data on transferable AMR genomic and phenotypic biomarkers to accelerate action against antimicrobial resistance.
What is your solution?
MasterApp is a tiered access mobile application with 3 main functions to address AMR: 1. A Learning Hub providing community-based antimicrobial resistance reinforced education on access, quality monitoring and use of antimicrobials through tailored audiovisuals in local languages for community health workers, dispensers, pharmacy technicians and veterinary store attendants to share with users of antimicrobials at the point of purchase. 2. An end-to end Supply Chain Safeguard tracing authentic antimicrobials from manufacturers to the final user for a foolproof traceable supply chain that assures antimicrobials quality dispensed to the general population while alerting pharmacies, community health workers, veterinary stores attendants and other licensed antimicrobial custodians of potential stock-out at their re-order levels which can be used to place new orders with manufacturers directly. 3. A geographic information system (GIS)-enabled Field report function for community reported data on antimicrobial data which can be triaged to identify genomic and phenotypic biomarkers that provide evidence of evolving environmental impact on the evolution of antimicrobial resistance in the reporting community.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
MasterApp is most useful for the custodians of antimicrobials (manufacturers, registered pharmacies, the pharmacists and their pharmacist technicians, veterinary medicine stores and managers, patent medicine vendors and community health workers) for supply chain safeguard and stock-out prevention while benefiting the public greatly with its point of procurement learning hub dedicated to public education and GIS-enabled field reports which can be used by interested stakeholders to prevent, address and correct the trajectory of AMR evolution based on community generated data.
