What specific problem are you solving?
In France’s disadvantaged neighborhoods, young people face a dual exclusion: economic and digital. Youth unemployment among 18–24-year-olds in these areas can reach 30%, above the national average. Many leave the education system without professional networks, career references, or access to the tools shaping today’s labor market.
Although digital tools are omnipresent, their use remains largely recreational. Access alone does not enable young people to use digital and AI tools for employability, professional development, or project creation. Without targeted awareness and guidance, AI often remains abstract, intimidating, or misused, reinforcing existing inequalities.
In France, young people who are neither in employment, education, nor training (NEETs) represent 12.5% of those aged 15 to 29—nearly 1.4 million individuals (INSEE)—illustrating the scale of this challenge.
Entrepreneurship can be a powerful pathway into employment and autonomy, yet it is often perceived as inaccessible and reserved for those who already master professional codes, networks, and digital skills. Rapid advances in AI further widen this gap, even as these young people are among the most vulnerable to labor market disruption.
Our solution addresses these challenges by combining AI awareness, practical digital tools, structured support, and hands-on entrepreneurial pathways to turn AI literacy into a lever for inclusion.
What is your solution?
Cap ou Pas Cap is a hybrid support solution that combines Positiv’s human-led entrepreneurship coaching with a mobile, gamified application to help young people build skills, confidence, and professional pathways using artificial intelligence.
The solution is rooted in Positiv’s long-standing field experience and advisory methods. It translates these practices into a simple digital tool that young people can use independently, in parallel with workshops and mentoring delivered by Positiv’s advisors.
The mobile application guides users through key stages of the entrepreneurial journey, such as exploring an idea, understanding a market, structuring a project, and communicating it. AI is integrated as a practical support tool to help organize thinking, generate options, and prepare decisions, rather than as a technical subject to be taught.
Cap ou Pas Cap also focuses on AI awareness and responsible use. Through concrete use cases linked to their own projects, young people learn how AI can support professional tasks while developing critical skills such as verifying information, understanding limitations and hallucinations, and asking the right questions.
The solution does not replace human support. It reinforces advisors’ work by offering an accessible, engaging tool aligned with their methodology and grounded in real-life entrepreneurial learning.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Cap ou Pas Cap serves young people aged 18 to 24 living in disadvantaged neighborhoods in France. These are young adults who often have ideas, curiosity, and a desire to move forward, but little exposure to entrepreneurship, professional networks, or emerging digital tools.
Many struggle to see clear pathways for themselves. Entrepreneurship and AI are often perceived as distant, complex, or “not for them.” As a result, they may lack confidence, direction, and the ability to project themselves into future professional opportunities.
Cap ou Pas Cap supports these young people by offering a guided, accessible learning experience rooted in entrepreneurship. Through concrete projects, they progressively gain clarity, structure their ideas, and understand how digital and AI tools can support real professional tasks.
The solution helps participants build confidence, autonomy, and transferable skills such as digital literacy, critical thinking, and decision-making. Beyond entrepreneurship, these competencies strengthen their employability and ability to adapt to a changing labor market.
Ultimately, Cap ou Pas Cap helps young people move from uncertainty to action, and from feeling excluded to seeing themselves as capable actors in their professional future. This support is rooted in Positiv’s on-the-ground presence, allowing young people to engage in a familiar, trusted environment.
