Pitch us on your solution

Every one of us, Every Single day use single use plastics in the name of convenience, but we are not able to follow through the journey of these plastics. All we get to read is some mumbo-jumbo statistics of X number of tons of plastics ending up in ocean; These statistics are not in a language to sensitize common citizen, and don't prompt an effective call for action.

My solution starts with our neighbourhood, a visual presentation in a mobile app  that will show a heat map of plastics in my neighbourhood, in my vicinity.

I am working with industries to set up recycle boxes around every street corners. Further create an organised employment for rag pickers, who will be equipped with these apps,  follow the heat-map, pick up those, deposit in the recycle boxes;  The goal should be able to see a cleaner plastic heat map in every neighbourhood.

What is the problem you are solving?

Pathway of plastic to ocean

The world is affected, the earth, the environment, the world population is affected by single use plastics -but these statistics makes me feel, I cannot clean the ocean, but my solution would tell you that you can start with your neighbourhood; The problem is what you cannot measure, you cannot monitor, what you cannot monitor you cannot act and control;Plastic Tsunamis Threaten Coast in Latin AmericaRIO DE JANEIRO, Jun 3 2018 (IPS) - Although Latin America produces just five percent of the world’s plastic, it imports billions of tons annually for the use of all kinds of products, some of which end up in the sea as garbage. It thus contributes to this kind of artificial tsunami that threatens the biodiversity of the oceans, where 13 million tons of waste, mostly disposable plastics, are dumped each year at a global level, according to UN Environment – enough to wrap around the Earth four times.
Who are you serving?

I am serving the world population, the planet earth;

The solution is an app, that will create job opportunity while cleaning the environment, it will become a movement a movement that passes on from one neighbourhood to another;

Favoured by a 3,000-km coastline on the Pacific Ocean, with one of the world’s most nutrient-rich waters, Peru was one of the first Latin American countries to join the Clean Seas campaign, launched a year ago by UN Environment.

My solution addresses the plastic pollution menace before it reaches the ocean, before it reaches the landfill; "Stalk them at Source, Source of disposals, in the households, in offices, in hotels, in public places;

What is your solution?

My solution is a mobile app

Users take a picture of garbages, of plastics lying around and uploads;

The app sends to the server, and the back-end is a system that consists of an image processor and a Visual HeatMap generator; The image processor  segregates the plastics in the picture, quantifies it, gets LatLong, TimeStamp of the pictures; With all these a heat map is generated for the users to visually see and get sensitised and act upon it;

The goal is to see a cleaner map in my neighbourhood;
