A digital recruitment platform and consulting facility, YCONNECTA makes it easy for NGOs, educators/trainers & company hiring managers to connect with each other: synergizing efforts towards employment for disadvantaged youth. A for-profit social enterprise, YCONNECTA aims to act as an area’s systems integrator and feedback facilitator for "Education-to-Employment."

Much effort has been made to address the issue of youth skills & unemployment.  However, current solutions are - more often than not - focused on just “parts” of the problem.  As McKinsey’s “Education to Employment” global report suggests, “employers, education providers, and youth live in parallel universes...” and “are not engaged with each other.”  It also mentioned “the lack of hard data” to aid stakeholders in their decision-making and in evaluating solutions aimed to bridge the gaps between jobseekers’ skills & employers’ needs.  

McKinsey’s “Education to Employment” report mentioned 1) the need for a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach, and 2) hard data, to boost an intervention’s success rate.  These two points are significant components of YCONNECTA’s digital platform, where we facilitate feedback & aggregate data at a faster rate.   YCONNECTA also works on specific “solution spaces” that McKinsey’s “Technology, Jobs, and the Future of Work” touched on.  YCONNECTA’s complementary consulting services (Apprenticeship and Coaching) pushes for the “role of the private sector to drive training,” and our digital platform reiterates the call for stakeholders to “embrace technology-enabled solutions... that improve matching and access.”

We partner with local NGOs that support marginalized youth by providing them with education, life skills and technical training.  YCONNECTA's business model is being developed through constant dialogue with the NGOs and their beneficiaries (NGOs such as ACAY Mission, YLDC Philippines and Enfants du Mekong).  By developing a digital platform that will exclusively cater to the youth that these NGOs support, we aim to synergize current efforts aimed towards this cause and maximize impact & awareness in the communities.      

We hope to reinvest profits back to our partner NGOs, so that they can continue doing good work.
