The idea is to Inspire the next generation of innovators and thought leaders using transformational learning experiences. C-STEM Academy is rooted in the activity theory and experiential learning. C-STEM Academy offers relevant experiential resources that enrich partner content. C-STEM Academy encourages students to be problem-solvers and solutions driven thinkers.
C-STEM Academy engages students in meaningful thematic hands-on experiences that connect learning to the world around them. The Academy would be accessible via the internet, expanding on the www.cstem-break.ning.com social network model, C-STEM mobile app, and partner websites/app(s) to support students successful development of innovative solutions to real-world problems for FREE. This solution focuses on preparing students for the arrival of a society that demands both a high degree of technological acuity with understanding concepts of automation and artificial intelligence and an intrinsic motivation to strive for increased efficiency in the economic, social, and cultural aspects of life.
C-STEM Pedagogy's framework was developed in 2002 and focuses on the application of ideas, methods, and is rooted in the Activity Theory founded by Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky. We transcend traditional education boundaries to develop students' capacity by: (1) setting clear, coherent, and a consistent purpose using C-STEM activity; (2) embracing a holistic view of talent development; (3) establishing processes, practices, and protocols that are congruent with individual student learning needs; (4) setting high standards; (5) integrating C-STEM Pedagogy with effective teaching approaches; (6) incorporating performative assessments; and (7) providing opportunities for students involvement in relevant hands-on learning activities.

C-STEM’s continuous aim to help as many students as possible as led to the development community building, the “pipeline” method. The technique is an evolution of the “feeder” method, and C-STEM provides a technology platform, CSTEM-break.ning.com, so that students and teachers can participate from anywhere. The expansion of this technology platform meets students where they are and engages with them through media, videos, and live chat from their computers and mobile devices. C-STEM Academy will expand this platform to inspire innovation and thoughtful leadership.
