Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered corona-virus.Afghanistan has a total of 196 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus); 143 in Herat, at least 19 in Kabul, and smaller numbers in Samangan, Logar, Balkh, Zabul, Kapisa, Daykundi, Bagdhis, Kandahar and Ghazni provinces. The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan has confirmed four deaths from COVID-19.
Several cases do not have a travel history corresponding with contact with COVID-19, and the Ministry of Public Health is expected to declare community transmission.Kabul city, Herat, Farah, and Zaranj city in Nimroz are on lockdown.In addition to the National Public Health Lab in Kabul, an additional lab in Herat begin COVID-19 testing on March 22, and a lab in Mazar-e-Sharif is planned to begin operations next week. Total testing capacity once the additional labs are operating is expected to be 150-250 tests/day.Large numbers of travelers have been reported returning from Iran to Afghanistan through Herat province. Iran is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19,The objective Hygiene Education For Women and Children is to train 750 women and Children in Migration Comps of to increase Awareness in Prevention of Covid 19 corona virus and health skills and knowledge among them in Kabul, Herat ,Logar Provinces in Migration Comps .
At the successful completion of the Hygiene Education program, these women will be skilled in newly-developed health knowledge skills – would be eligible to continue on for training and then community service in these roles. Hygiene Education .
The project presents a major challenge: its specific targets are to introduce Hygiene Education knowledge that raises the Skills Development Capacities and the levels of education for 750 women and Children in Kabul Herat , Logar Province.
.The technical approach of Hygiene Education For Women and Children Program takes into account the unique and challenging circumstances in providing Skills Development and Educational opportunities for women and Children in Kabul , Herat and Logar Province.
