Pandemic Tracking & Alert System

Greetings,

My name is Anthony-Georges Karam, i am a former HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning) technician. I formally worked in USA,Florida during the period of 2012-2014. I then returned to Lebanon where is was raised and went to school. Upon return I started attending university and earning my BS in Business Management at the American University of Science & Technology in Beirut; where i have acquired an entirely new skill set and lots of knowledge. I plan on continuing my studies until i have earned a masters degree. My plans for life professionally have changed since my return to Lebanon. I enjoy reading about new startups and technology; i am very passionate about learning and acquiring new knowledge in the business field.

The project would be an early warning system designed to provide warning of new or existing pandemic outbreaks through out the world. It would be a cloud based software meaning hospitals around the world would be contributing to its databases with information & data. The project could elevate humanity by giving early warning signs of a pandemic outbreak; to help stop the spread and provide accurate statistical analyses, demographic and quantitative information. By giving an early warning sign governments could prepare and take action before the outbreak reaches critical levels such as the COVID-19 outbreak.   

I am working to solve the issue of new or previously existing pandemic outbreaks throughout the world. The scale of the problem can obviously be seen on any TV screen in 2020. People are trapped at home, supermarkets are running out of products, unemployment is rising in the US. Many people are dying from the outbreak of COVID-19. The amount of people effected by pandemic outbreaks is basically the entire population of the earth; there is not a human who could be safe from an outbreak in their local community. The factors contributing to the project are death and safety of humanity. I do not find a need for providing statistical information since it is all current and on TV stations around the world. Death rates are high and the spread is only increasing day by day. 

It is a cloud based software which would be used by hospitals around the world; to input cases of patients. The cases would consist of symptoms, demographic location and other information regarding travelling and such. The information/data would then be backed up into a database. Symptoms of all cases input into the database will be compared using artificial intelligence analytics. Hits from various locations around the world of cases having the same symptoms could provide the early alert that governments need to prepare and take action. The data and information input into the database could also provide necessary accurate statistical information that may be crucial. This data could be used to derive a lot of necessary information that could be crucial for research & development of a treatment and other crucial information such as demographics, geographic, deaths and age segmentation's. Basically summarizing the project is a cloud based software to provide statistical, demographic and other information through analytics of data input into a database for the forecasting of pandemic outbreaks. The data could be input through drop-down menus to make it easier for the analytics to work  (Compare/Contrast) data. The list of things that could be included is limitless.  

My project serves the good of humanity as a whole. I am not targeting any group, country or segment specifically. It targets the well being of all man kind.

The dimension i chose is raising awareness and solving one of the worlds hardest problems. The problem i am targeting is pandemic outbreaks world-wide so i guess it relates to the dimension as being one of the worlds biggest problems. The community is basically the entire world so it also relates to the dimension.I hope this project is developed and helps fight any future outbreaks like COVID-19. 

I came up with the idea thinking of ways to give governments early warning signs of pandemic outbreaks. I also have many other ideas related to cloud computing and data analytics but they are unrelated to the topic so i decided maybe it would work with pandemic forecasting.I came up with the idea while sitting on the balcony on the swing and have been thinking about it for a few days now. Finally i found a place to put it down and have it reviewed i really hope it can be of help in the future regarding pandemic outbreaks. 

Pandemic outbreaks effect us all. What motivates me to peruse this work would be to have done something good for humanity as a whole. I see the death rates in New York and honestly it is heartbreaking.   

I honestly am not skilled enough to develop the project.But the concept resides in my head and i have a clear vision of what it should look like and how it should be developed. I believe it would require top medical officials to detail it. And top government officials to decide what kind of finalized information the software should provide to them statistic wise. Or maybe just people who are highly specialized in the respective fields.

I do not believe there to be any problems with the project. The main problem it faces in my opinion would be being accepted and be seen as a necessity through other peoples eyes and respective perspectives. I believe if it where accepted that it would only require getting the right people to work on it together. 

I have been battling with bipolar disorder since the age of 24. This is the main reason i returned to Lebanon and left everything in the US behind. After leaving i lost all my possessions that i had worked hard for. My car got repossessed by the bank. Basically i was suffering from hallucination and depression plus a little bit of anxiety. It took me a few months to recover with the help of a psychiatrist and medications. But after that i stood right back up on my feet and joined university to perseu a new and better lifestyle. I overcame the set back and here i am today still moving forward.

It is a new innovative software. It should deliver on the efficiency and effectiveness of forecasting pandemic outbreaks. Plus provide a wide array of information that is not available accurately with regards to the matter.

The outputs would be statistical information that is not currently available to become available and be accurate to those who need it. For example if research is to be done on the pandemic outbreak during or after there would be a ton of information and stats to compare and contrast. 

It serves no-one now. In five years it could serve the entire world.

Complete my BS is business management and hopefully start working.

Just studying and keeping my grades up. Keeping myself from falling back into an anxious state of mind.

Its a technology software that will serve all man kind.

Promoting it to World health organization/ government officials.

To have a chance at having my project reviewed by professionals and seek closure.

World health organization.

United Nations.

Governments.

Hospitals.

Doctors.

Patients

W.H.O would be the main target of a partner since the organization is concerned with things such as pandemic outbreaks.

Also the US government which would be a huge asset by enforcing or promoting it to the world.
