What specific problem are you solving?

IMPULSEATS remain a Solution born out of the need to address the state of undergraduate research in Nigeria Universities which over the years end on the shelf of their project supervisors or the waste bins making it difficult to keep track of our progress in research.

Most Students can't keep track on what has been done, what ought to be done and what to build on Teaching a bad research culture in Nigeria, Africa.

According to the Nigeria University Commission in 2019, about 60% of Undergraduates research works are plagiarized. In a digital world, plagiarism can easily be checked unlike when research articles are in prints. Impulseats offer training Services on research, research skills to develop students capacity to independently carry out research. Impulseats web/app digitizes research articles hence will help in tracking of research.

What is your project?

Impulseats is an EdTech Company addressing the continuous burying of knowledge in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.

Through Impulseats web/app, students research, local Journals, libraries can digitize research articles and make it available to the globe.

To address the poor quality of research output, we offer training services on research, research skills like data analysis, proposal writing, research methodology.

The training services in research will be focused on translational research, ways to translate research findings to actions and better the lives of the community where the studies were carried out.

This way, University Students will be equipped with necessary tools to solve problems identified from research and communities will benefit from their actions.

The training can be online or offline depending on the demand of customers. Customers can request for training Sessions on the platform by requesting in their dashboards and selecting location, type of training and either option of online or offline respectively.

How did you come up with your project?

IMPULSEATS remain a Solution born out of the need to address the state of undergraduate research in Nigeria Universities which over the years end on the shelf of their project supervisors or the waste bins making it difficult to keep track of our progress in research.

Initially began as an advocacy with the theme I Must Publish a Logical and Scholarly research article for Exploration (IMPULSE) to propel students into innovative research and end the discarding of research articles.

Later, we realised that engaging stakeholders yielded less result then moved to designing a Solution and wrote a business Model to ensure its sustainability.

So beyond advocacy, came up with the idea of driving the solution with my knowledge in basic coding of HTML, CSS.

Why are you passionate about your project?

I have always been passionate about the driving change with my  knowlege in basic web development adressing specific problems in health, eucation.

Government is recently embracing digitalization of data, supporting Start ups with innovative solutions in technology. Recently, digitalization of processes of application of visas, passports and application into several Universities made me realised that the power of the internet.

I realized there is a limit to how much that can be seen when research articles are in prints hence my quest to make our knowledge findings accessible to the globe because there is no longer an excuse as anyone can touch anywhere on the globe at any location at any given time at low cost through the power of the internet.

Why are you well-positioned to deliver this project?

I have a passionate team of 6 skille in research, web developlment, content evelopment.
