Medical syringes production
Jaures SOGBOSSI is a Mechanic and Industrial Project Engineer with varied experience in several industrial sectors.
Director of the company SAMIA Sarl working in construction and public works and providing various services including maintenance services for ships, Jaures SOGBOSSI speaks fluently English, French and intermediate chinese. He has a sense of management, organization and leadership to lead any industrial production project.
Major projects on which Jaures SOGBOSSI worked on:
-Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of automotive production lines in Shanghai, China.
-EPCI of crude oil Production and processing equipment including in Houston, USA and Benin Republic.
-EPCI of 10,000 BPD crude oil production platform fully automated without men presence required for functioning in U.K. and Benin.
-EPCI of 3 offshore pipelines of production, exportation, and water disposal lines.
-EPCI of 2 crude oil tanks refurbishment with floating roof
-EPCI of industrial buildings to serve as crude oil processing plants
In West and central Africa, for a population of more than 500 million humans, there is no industry for manufacturing hospital syringes and other medical furniture. We must import everything for our health.
The project is a 6 millions USD cost project which consist of building a factory to produce medical syringes and needles for health uses.
The project has 8 phases:
1- Business plan (already done)
2- Locating an industrial equipment supplier and have the price proposals for all the required machines (already done)
3- Funds research phase: (on-going)
4- Production machine buying and transport to Africa (2 months duration)
5- Industrial hall building (5 months duration)
6- Raw materials buying and transporting
7- Industry installation and commissioning
8- Production and commercialization
This project will help African countries to have access to syringes at best costs while creating jobs for Africans who won't go into illegal immigration abroad anymore.
The project solves many problems among which we can say:
-Let African countries have locally access to medical equipment for better prices and enable African population to reduce the cost of their health treatment. The massive importation of the health treatment goods make the cost so high for populations.
- Create modern and well paid jobs for African youths so, few of them will feel the need to go into illegal immigration.
- Reduce the capital flight due to massive importations done by African countries.
The population affected by the project is all the population due to the fact that from vaccination to health issues, everyone needs at a moment the use of syringes.
The project is being developped by the company SAMIA SARL (Société Africaine des Mines, de l'Industrialisation et de l'Agriculture). It consists of installing a factory which will produce medical equipment, starting from syringes and needles for health use. The project will then build a production hall, import all the machinery required for the production, buy the raw materials, hire the qualified personnel including specialist across the world and put all together to achieve the target.
As already said, the project has 8 phases which are as follows:
1- Business plan (already done)
2- Locating an industrial equipment supplier and have the price proposals for all the required machines (already done)
3- Funds research phase: (on-going)
4- Production machine buying and transport to Africa (2 months duration)
5- Industrial hall building (5 months duration)
(Architectural and building studies and plans already done)
6- Raw materials buying and transporting
7- Industry installation and commissioning
8- Production and commercialization

The project improves lives of all the African community because everyone will need to get vaccination or get treatment while get sick. If Africa governments can get syringes for cheaper prices, the syringes will be make available at better prices to populations.
As for now, all syringes used in my country are imported and even the sea freight cost is important cost which will be saved when this project will be implemented.
- Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world
The project brings the required syringes for the population at hospital by creating jobs and value.
In my country, Benin Republic, when anybody goes to hospital, he must at the very first moment pay for the hand gloves, syringes, compress before been examined by a doctor. This is a situation due to the fact my country imports all those health equipment and it is not possible to have them at cheap prices. At the same time we import those goods, many young people are without job and willing to travel abroad illegally to get jobs in industrialized countries. After working in China, USA, U.K and Nigeria, I noticed how important it is to start some industrialization projects in Africa to create jobs, reduce importation, and create value.
This project is one of the projects which will enable our African countries solve many problems at the same time among which the problem of poverty.
Racism against black community around the world will never end until African black countries reach a certain level of development and industrialization. This is the most effect which makes me being so passionate about this project. It is time for African countries to stop importing all goods they need and only keep producing raw materials. We need to create jobs, stop illegal immigration so people will no more see Africa as a place every young wants to leave due to lack of jobs and poverty.
As a Mechanical and Project Engineer myself, I will feel guilty if I achieved nothing to help Africa reach a certain level of industrialization and development and making the image of Africa better in the world.
I think I am well positioned to deliver this project for many reasons:
- I am a Mechanical and Project Engineer
- I already worked in the past 15 years into many teams to deliver many projects among which some automobile manufacturing lines in China, crude oil production, treatment, and exportation equipment in many countries: USA, U.K, Nigeria, Benin.
- I am multi-lingual person speaking English, French, Chinese, and a bit of Japanese since the company I worked for in China is a Japanese company.
- I love Africa and want to make that continent better by reducing poverty in Africa through industrialization with jobs creating.
- I think fast and I have been solution provider in many situation of design, mechanical issues, industrial maintenance, and others.
- My previous jobs gives me opportunities to be well trained for the industrial wold.
Finding the right industrial machinery equipment providers for this project is kind of bit difficult due to the fact few companies around the world provides such machines.
It took me less than a week to search the web, mail many companies, and talk to many contacts who finally lead me to get the appropriate machine provider.
As Client Representative on-bord a working barge on sea during a project of transportation and installing a crude oil production platform, I was able to keep and conduct the morning meetings to plan, organize and implement the project. Also in the evening, supervised the project report writing, and submitting to company.
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
There is no syringe industry in my country. This is making the project innovative as my project will lead to the installation of the first syringe production industry.
