ZAALA CARE HEALTH HUB
- Pre-Seed
For a pregnant woman, Zaala Care health Hub is an interactive platform that enables them to acquire information about maternal health that is both written and in audio form interpreted in their local languages better than word of mouth and pregnancy apps to improve their reproductive health awareness.
According to WHO, Every day, approximately nearly 830 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.
99% of all maternal deaths occur in developing countries. Maternal mortality is higher in women living in rural areas and among poorer communities. In my community, everyday 3 women die, 5 new born don't make it to their 5th birthday due to the fact that women lack proper information and advice from rightful sources on what to do during pregnancy.
This creates a gap to knowledge about pregnancy thereby follow myths about pregnancy hence endangering their lives and the unborn.
For a pregnant woman, Zaala Care health Hub is an interactive platform that enables them to acquire information about maternal health that is both written and in audio form interpreted in their local languages better than word of mouth and pregnancy apps to improve their reproductive health awareness.
They can shop for their pregnancy essential needs and have them delivered their address.Mothers can open-up mini online shops to show case their products to the community.
It is their online doctor that is accessible anytime of the day to cater for their health needs in case the physical doctors are unreachable.
Our mission is to empower as many women as possible with information about maternal health to improve their reproductive awareness thus reducing maternal mortality rates.
For every 2 women empowered with information, on average 5 lives are saved through practicing and sharing the knowledge they acquire while using our Zaala Care Health Hub platform.
We aim at achieving the 3rd goal of the SDG’s- Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and goal 5 - Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls and to make the world a better place in a fun way.

The idea of wanting to participate in the Solve challenge has been in my eye. Iam a social entrepreneur, public figure of my own and students’ community, and creator of my fortune. Uganda is my native country.
My country is an independent and young state. It is under developed and it has a lot of problems. By observing and analyzing these problems I am aware that everybody’s well-being depends on a solution of social and
global problems through social innovation.
I wish to use Solve to reach out to people and help solve the most pressing problems in our society.
