linecare is a healthcare platform that bridges between patients and doctors. We provide hospital search & booking, medical examination, telemedicine, and medication service to increase low accessibility to medical services in the Philippines.
Our main target are Filipinos who cannot afford nor have access to medical services (due to a wide range of reasons), such as, pregnant woman, children, long-term illness patients, etc. Knowing that 70###/span#< of professional medical staff in private hospitals and 80% of medical devices are in Metro Manila, there is not even one hospital in some islands and some rural areas. So, they must move far away to visit hospitals and wait for a long time to see a doctor. If we build this integrated healthcare system, people in need will have easier access to health care (including other countries similar to the Philippines) with no costs. By such, reduced waiting time is expected, more patients can be observed, and, related to it, infant mortality can be decreased, and so can life expectancy be increased.
To test this proposal, we have developed a diagnosis application (focused on rheumatism as a first single case) in collaboration with another team.
Patients in the Philippines are suffering from unequal healthcare service as a result of poor medical conditions and hospital inaccessibility. Thus, infant mortality rate is high, and the average life expectancy is extremely low compared to OECD countries.
For this reason, linecare is trying to solve these problems with a system that was never tried in the Philippines (or in any other undeveloped country). It is an all-around healthcare system covering steps from before visiting a hospital to afterwards care. Respectively:
1. Pre-visiting service - Hospital search & reservation / online prior examination with AI assistant (reducing waiting time by 30-60 minutes)
2. Continuous treatment - Telemedicine / Online prescription
3. Follow-up care – Medication service with AI assistant and IoT Smart bottle
