Immerse education
There is more to visualize
As technology evolved , our education supports reading books, articles with help of myriad mediums. But we still don’t able to see things as fascinating way as Harry Potter movies showed such as interactive images in books or news paper. That sci-fi feeling or imagination has been drastically reduced in contemporary children. Imagination while reading books is significantly lacking in our modern education system. To overcome this problem, we are introducing augmented reality application with which figures depicted on book can be scanned through mobile and make them see animated. Initially we are planning to cover figures on Indian school science book and eventually will extend support to animation across all k-12 books in the world. Our application has tremendous potential to impact the school students and change their life by visualizing whatever picture they see on day to day life in their syllabus book. Pupils can learn any concept very easily through animation right away by scanning a picture on book. Not only students but teachers will immensely be benefited from our application as they will able explain concepts to students very easily. Most of school don't perform experiments given in textbooks due to lack of resources, our app can be boon for teachers as it will help them to show how things work to the group of students. For example, to explain and understand current flow of complex electric circuit is difficult through 2D image and too many text captioned on it. With our app 2D can be seen as 3D animation or specific video can be augmented on top of those textbook images. Integrating emerging technology such as augmented reality will have a significant effect in future for different fields especially education and teaching. We believe in this era of internet, abundance of data is present, even on same topics plenty of videos are available on internet which makes difficult for students and teachers both to look at correct information to understand the experiment. Out revolutionary android app can help reduce time of teachers and they don't need to find hay in the needle stack, our app can integrate 3D models/videos as per their requirement so that they can get more time on teaching and innovating.
- Educators fostering 21st century skills
- Supportive ecosystems for educators
Existing education have textbooks but not innovative technology to interact with books. We want to disrupt the education industry with augmented reality app which can scan image and replace it with animation or video. There are videos available but it is required to search on website and still it can't be interactive as much as augmented reality. Even finding video is like finding a hay in needlestack in era of abundant data. There is tremendous potential in our concept to grow practically and empower the educators to explain concepts even without enough resources in schools.
We are first trying to integrate emerging augmented reality technology with android , which is one of the most popular operating system , application. 3D modeling and animation to augment the image will make it more intuitive and exciting. Teachers can request to add their own explanation of videos for different images. Our application can be later extended to head mount display such as microsoft hololens if our android application has successful start. We are trying to collate one the most popular and latest tools and techniques.
Our initial goal is to improve our android app to detect image and augment it with suitable animation over it. At the moment our app can augment an image with an another image. Next 3-4 months will be utilized to improve android application and build 3D models of "science" subject book images of 10th standard in India. Once application is up and running, we are planning to contact premier schools across the India and demo them our application. Provide them initial free access for 15 days to experience the new technology followed by proving subscription on monthly and yealy basis.
Augmented and virtual reality will disrupt the education and training institutes and courses significantly over the course of time. Looking at static diagrams in textbooks is boring and it is confied to physical limitation. In next three to five years, our application should be available on android as well as ios. It would be definitely scalable not only science subject books but different subject books such as arts, engineering drawing etc. Once head mount device prices comes down, we also plan to integrate our 3d models of diagrams have seemless integration with popular headsets too.

Intially our customer would be schools. We are planning to provide subscription based access to a school and all students from the same school is eligible to access and utilize our remarkable android application. Once students get habituated to our android app in India, we will try to reach out to schools in abroad. Eventually we also provide access to individuals to access our android and ios application to empower themselves. Inital phase requires to market this solution physically to diffent school students and principal but once it becomes success we will market it across all the digital platforms.
At the moment we have just developed very minimal product which cant be given to use to any students. We need to develop as much 3d models and animations we can for science book for 10th grade in India. Our application has potential to serve millions of students across the India and eventually whole world as we will add support for different syllabus books.
Over next 12 months we are not trying to be ambitious as we want to provide quality support and test our application in beta phase. We are planning to server only 1 or 2 schools with around 100 - 150 students total. Once we achieve our target, we plan to support as many subject books as we can for students for Indian as well as abroad. In next 3 years we are want to reach 1 million students across globe to use our application and support at least science, physics and chemistry books of higher secondary schools.

My teammate Sanket has been amazing VR developer and have applied patents on Virtual reality products. He is currently serving as mentor to one of the Facebook's VR program for Oculous Go as well. I have already built an android app to test this conept and working at Intel as full time software engineer. Being part of Google Summer of Code and other international program I bring different expertise on the table with Sanket. My previous experience from mentoring and business and Sanket's VR/AR developing experience would enough to make significant impact
Initally our revenue model would be subscription based. We will demo our product to myriad schools and ask them to pay monthly or yearly subscription to use our application for all of their students. Later we will also introduce individual subscription fee as well as one time payment system for individuals
Solve is community of awesome hacker and problem solver community spread across the world. With networking and pass down from previous experience of solve spin off companies can be significantly helpful to take steps in right direction while making less mistakes. It can also provide us financial help along with great mentoring/help from community members across different pillers of entreprenurship such as marketing, development, making strong economical model etc.
We are trying to deploy one of the emerging technology of the world to educate students. Difficult to understand and initial adaption could be little touch for students but with the help of solve we can take our product to next level and explain different schools about its important. Solve can significantly impact our marketing, developing and image of our company because MIT Solve is quite popular and have expertize in all the related domains.
