Solution Overview
Solution Name:
Hexlibrium
One-line solution summary:
We create magic circles to inspire people to follow the path of learning through technology respecting the rules of nature
Pitch your solution.

We are committed to providing a gamification process to help students create a disciplined path to support a lack of motivation to acquire new skills through a 3D game.

In which we intend to deliver a framework capable of connecting people with specific goals, creating a fertile environment for students by the possibility of building scenarios also delivering tools for partners to teach courses using real-time technologies such as video, text and audio.

In this proposal we are providing a way to connect five areas of study (mindfuness, art, science, design and engineering), this way the student can see how things are connected using a specific approach, using this methodology the user can program one of the mascots using music and drawing for example.

It could create a sophisticated 3D environment for people to collaborate and connect with others with common proposals using a human design approach.

Film your elevator pitch.
What specific problem are you solving?

Most of us live in a sense of separation where we grow up with these belief systems that everything in this world is in some box or this reality is built from building blocks, in this sense our kids are really unmotivated to learn things that there is apparently no connection between them. Thus, our cognitive capacity is limited to approximately 15% by listening, 25% by seeing and 75% by doing and we only reach our maximum potential when we propose to teach. In this sense, we are creating collaborative rather than competitive games, in which we can substitute the hunger to win or fight for something outside of us for the sense of teaching and collaborating, something that we must recognize that the real challenge lies within each one of us.

What is your solution?

We are providing a digital environment service in which students and institution can play with digital assets to deliver microlearning-based courses and classes using video, text and audio support.

In this context, the game exists in a story about the colonization of new planets in which players must travel across dimensions to meet their upcoming partners.

The game itself is built on three levels, the first is the social network view where players can connect using a human design approach. The second is the vision of the planet on which the player walks the surface here he can develop strategy skills as he faces challenges to build a sustainable world based on obtaining resources and building infrastructure using a robot as a mascot that will help him build the scenario, the robot in this case is the means in which the player programs the instructions; the third level is about viewing the platforms built on the planet, where users can enter the interior of buildings and access digital content, solve challenges and attend classes.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

There are three specific levels to implement the story, two ways to connect the target audience and one way to impact the new teaching and learning dynamics.

The game universe is built in three perspectives as a graphic theory, we can see dimensions as a social network, the surface of planets as a dendrogram constituted by a set of rules and inside the planet as a database for sharing content.

From this perspective, we can connect three different public goals.
On the one hand, we have children with enormous potential to use their imaginations to unravel our own way of accessing information within the game. On the other side we have scools / institution that need a way to engage people in an immersive setting to deliver our content. On the third side is the common player who wants to develop strategies to build a sustainable world in this reality.
All users have the help of two pets that guide the player along the way.
The first of these is a magical turtle (representing immanent reality), which specifically provides 4096 possibilities to deliver one of the 384 lines of advice and 64 four keys for the player to access the content, also 6 directions in space and two directions in time. This set of rules helps the user
The second is the robotic turtle, which provides a set of tools to help the user build the planet. The turtle has exactly eight tools that can be combined to build platforms and five ways to connect some collected tokens to create new materials.
In the interface, the user will play with two joystics that involve the process of improving hand coordination, in which the combination of these two joystics is an input to combine a set of keys to unlock the lesson

We are doing that creating a set of rules in which, the player arrive in
a ordinary world just looking for get know new people, so in this way
eventualy the player is gonna find some gifts on the way that require
attention, each gift is protected by a code and for solve the code the
player should to find exacly two keys, in that path to find those
artefacts the player should to talk with people or follow the advices
from a litle turtle that is gonna show the way, once the player are able
to open the gift they is gonna get in new challenge to looking for chrystal to open up gates to have acess to new dimensions.

The story it self exist in context of multidimensional universe, in which each dimension is described as a dodecahedron geometry, in this view the players can see the astrologiacal zodiac signals in one of those 12 faces of the sky.

Inside each dimension theres nine planets thats represets the phases of the game, each planet represents one of those nine disciplines and in the surface of the planet the player can experience the sensation of colonize this new planet by constructing infrastructure and build new technology.

On the surface of each planet theres a set of geometries thats describe the most efficient geometry to build a sphere, the hexagonal geometries is made by a set of combination of eight different scenarios that could represent nature, buildins or technology and the pentagonal geometry represents those 12 gates to transport between dimensions.

In this microuniverse the dimension represents the personal enviroment of the player in whitch it is a abstration where the game work as a social network by connecting the dimensions the player can make new friends.

Each phase cointain a set of rules to challange the player to live a
especicly loop in which they can follow the steps to learn new skills conteined inside the discipline

Inside of each room theres a space that could a classroom, theres is the tools that the player could whatch class and interact with the teachers.

Which dimension of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?
  • Increase the engagement of learners in remote, hybrid, and physical environments, including strategies and tools for parental support, peer interaction, and guided independent work.
Explain how the problem you are addressing, the solution you have designed, and the population you are serving align with the Challenge.

We are creating a methodology based on sacred geometry and systems thinking approach, in which we relate the entire tokens as: disciplines, assets and contents based on geometrical dynamics.

Thus we have 5 support areas (Mindfunness, Science, Design, Art and Engineering) with 4 practical applications within the game (programming, music, drawing and dance).

In this scenario, the rules that drove the game mechanics are based on one of the oldest humanization books in I-ching, which provides a framework for dealing with the laws of nature and mental archetypes.

In what city, town, or region is your solution team headquartered?
Porto, Portugal
What is your solution’s stage of development?
  • Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution.

We are in a phase of connecting with partnerships, we are adapting the game to provide a web platform for some companies to sell our courses within the game that the game already offers: video, text and audio support for companies to teach in real time, for example.

We are currently offering micro-courses in this format for students of a FabLab here in Porto, we are applying a course with 5 based areas (Mindfuness, Science, Art, Engineering and Design) and 4 areas of practical application (Music, Drawing, Dance and Programming).

The next step is to create an entire world based on synergetics and tensegrity structures where all stackehooders can see each other playing on a surface of planets. Also, all of the game's geometries and features are connected to the areas mentioned above.
