AgroHusk Wares
Plastic production leads to a continuous increase in carbon dioxide production and pollution, which leads to climate change. Plastics are derived from petrochemicals, and the extraction and transportation of these fossil fuels is a carbon-intensive activity. Our proposed solution is 100% Biodegradable single-use tableware: Food packs, Plates, Cutleries. Cups, Trays, and Packages made from Rice Husk. We propose biogas as fuel for both factory and commercial purposes using biomass gasification technology. Also, we are campaigning for climate action and education through a Gaming application on Recycling. We target individuals are aged seven and above to enlighten Youths in their formative years. We will be creating Economic empowerment, reducing land and water pollution as our products will decompose in 90 days, unlike plastics that take 20 to 500 years—reduction in the release of toxic gases produced by the combustion of Agricultural waste Wildfires Environmental conservation.
Resilient Ecosystems:
Plastics are mainly derived from petrochemicals; extraction and transportation of these fossil fuels is a carbon-intensive activity. According to the CIEL report, emissions from manufacturing ethylene, the building block for polyethylene plastics, were 184.3 to 213 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
Starting from Nigeria with an estimated population of 208,062,48. An estimated 50 billion plastic is used annually; most times, they are disposed of inappropriately, causing pollution and the climate crisis we experience today. Globally, over one trillion plastic bags are produced and used annually, and less than 5% get recycled, mainly in developing countries. There are an estimated 9,708 Rice farmers in Kogi State, Nigeria. Most of these local Farmers currently burn the agricultural waste causing Land degradation, Wildfires, and release of air pollutants and toxic gases into the atmosphere.
We are substituting single-use plastics for 100% Biodegradable from Agricultural waste, Rice Husk using Hot press technology,
We produce energy using Green Energy produced from Biomass gasification Plants for all our factory and commercial purposes.
We are also carrying out awareness campaigns through a game app on recycling.
These products include Biodegradable
Food packs, Plates, Cutleries.
Cups.
Trays.
packages for e-commerce stores
These products will be water-resistant, have no chemicals, heavy metals, or toxins, withstand temperatures between -30 to 120°C
The SME sector is the backbone of major developed economies and essential contributors to employment, economic, and export growth.
Before COVID-19 spread worldwide - global unemployment already stood at approximately 190 million; these numbers have multiplied due to the pandemic. Developing countries like Nigeria seem to have taken the worst hits economically.
Our project’s implementation will help ease the pandemic’s burden and continue even when we can return to a state of normalcy.
Economic empowerment for low-income farmers: The collection of Agro wastes from local farmers will provide extra income.
Beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, our project will contribute to the health of our environment:
Reduction of land and water pollution as our products decompose in 90 days, unlike plastics that take 20 to 500 years.
Reduction of the release of air pollutants and toxic gases produced by combustion is the current method local farmers utilize to dispose of their agro-waste.
Environmental conservation of land: Farmers will no longer need to dedicate part of their available land to burning waste, reducing the land's fertility. This land will be public for farming purposes.
Provision of Jobs.
Education of Individuals engaged with our resources, conferences, and Training.
Provision of Electricity at affordable rates to residents.
Economic Value Creation.
Reduction of Climate change crisis.
- Create scalable economic opportunities for local communities, including fishing, timber, tourism, and regenerative agriculture, that are aligned with thriving and biodiverse ecosystems
How the problem, solution, and population aligns to this challenge:
My solution creates a sustainable substitute to Environmental Pollution, which is widespread in developing countries like Nigeria and prevents the potential outbreak of diseases due to the exposure of women and Children to Unclean and stagnant gutters due to blocked drainage systems as a result of plastic pollution and Toxic gases that could lead to respiratory diseases in Men and Woman, Our Solution manages production and disposal of waste, and with time restores local ecosystems. Nigeria is also a great market because Nigeria has an estimated population of 208,062,48.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
We are currently modifying our Game application and engaging Users to provide feedback on the Application. We are currently Conducting research and testing Prototypes, collaborating with already producing Companies in China.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
My Solution is Innovative because it incorporates technology in both the Game Application and Tablewares's production.
We are also using the Game application to ensure environmental sustainability over generations, including the younger individuals, and equip them with adequate knowledge during their formative years.
Also, we have:
100% Eco-friendly packages and services
Quality graphics user interface and Satisfactory User experience in the Game Application.
Our Products and Services are SDG-oriented, and it is safe to say we are selling MINDSET. The SDG's include 7,9,12 and 13,
