Solution Overview
Solution Name:
Blue Filter
One-line solution summary:
Providing clean water for drinkng and irrigation by using green methods for water treatment, these technologies are free from chemicals
Pitch your solution.

Problem :

- Desertification of lands because of increasing salinity and scarcity of water in aquifers

- Low productivity of plants

- High water cost for farmers

- High percent of nitrate in water wells, fruits, and vegetables because of misuse of fertilizer

- High cost of feedstock

- High cost of fertilizers

    - lack knowledge of farmers about nitrate, salinity, and other problems            data analysis

Solutions:

- Increasing green land by decreasing salinity to an acceptable level

- Increasing productivity  of plants

- provide cheap treated water for farmers

- Decrease the concentration of nitrate to an acceptable level

- Green feedstock

- Green fertilizer within water and without water

- Awareness farmers about all news in the agriculture world via website, training, workshops, and field visiting

-Connect farmers with assistant cheap devices to follow their utilities             (employe technology in farming.

This solution will protect the environment from wastes.

Film your elevator pitch.
What specific problem are you solving?

- Desertification of lands because of increasing salinity and scarcity of water in aquifers

- Low productivity of plants

- High water cost for farmers

- High percent of nitrate in water wells, fruits, and vegetables because of misuse of fertilizer

- High cost of feedstock

- High cost of fertilizers

- lack knowledge of farmers about nitrate, salinity, and other problem how can they deal with and test it

What is your solution?

Blue Filter working  within these parameters :

  • Safe and clean water
  • Green by product’s for animals and plants
  • Echo friendly
  • Free from chemicals
  • No energy
  • Low cost
  • Accessible and easy of installments
  • The project can be recycled without and deficient in its efficiency
  • No loses in water treatment quantity after treatment
  • No side effects on both Farmers and the environment.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

the project’s direct and measurable impact?

  • Water  security  for farmers and their families  in terms of access to pure water  from contaminates  by reaching to more than 95% removal efficiency of harmful contaminates (reduced contamination)
  • A regular income for farmers (different products will produce during blue filter process).
  • Good health (No chemicals, No Microbes ) the examinations that done with blue filter after water treatment prove the quality of water which meet standard criteria
  • Low poverty ( Blue filter very important for poorest area because its access for all and simple to use it without  any problems  )
  • Green products like fodder and fertilizers, Blue filter components during water treatment will produce fodder and fertilizers, these by-products used again for farmers  and healthy
  • Save money and electricity within the Recycling  process, Blue filter component’s we can recycle it more than 15 times  without any deficiency in their quality
  • Availability of raw materials at any time ( All raw material of blue filter are available in Gaza strip )
  • Health security in terms of No microbes after treatment (we using green Nanosilver “ newly in water disinfectant process” )
  • A good job opportunity sources for new farmers group, because Blue filter will provide work in each execution  stage ( Each farm need Blue filter systems, and this depend on the size of farm and water basins for treatment process so these installments need labor to work in good ways
  •  Blue filters meet   SDG   goals  6  for water in its strategy as the followings:
  • Ensure availability of water and sanitation to all by treating water in green, environmentally friendly ways and (No chemicals or electricity )
  • Use it in drinking and agriculture.
Which dimension of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?
  • Aggregate local projects to enable access to financial capital for ecosystem services such as natural hazard mitigation, water quality, and carbon storage.
Explain how the problem you are addressing, the solution you have designed, and the population you are serving align with the Challenge.

The project will contribute significantly to providing environmentally friendly and economically saving ways to treat water pollution in particular from nitrates, which cause cancerous diseases through its transmission through polluted water, the project will achieve secondary products during the treatment process such as environmentally friendly feed and fertilizers, the project will achieve The goals of sustainable development by providing water suitable for irrigation, drinking, by-products, awareness, and education for all in the field of water and the causes of pollution, all of these things will achieve environmental sustainability

In what city, town, or region is your solution team headquartered?
Palestine
What is your solution’s stage of development?
  • Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution.

This stage was chosen because we are currently validating results with a number of farmers
Through experimentation, and evaluation of work in each area, also the results of treatment, and the quantities of water that are being treated, because we are in the stage of production and development on the project continuously.
