Self Sufficiency for small foundations: in Food AND Finance!

Decreasing the dangerous depandance on donations by small foundations thru permaculture solutions.

To not be dependant on donations, to not have to beg, to not have to be afraid that this month we can't  get enough donations to continue the support of our children in need….

 To be less affected by global influences and disasters including, war, politics, natural disasters and economic crisis. 

To at least be able to take care of our own basic needs!

Our foundations aim is to support the children in their development towards independence. So in the future the challenged children are able to take care of themselves as well as possible and do not stay dependant on the goodwill support from others. At TCDF we are committed to securing TCDF’s support for children in need for as long as-but never longer than!-needed. 

And the foundation as an organization must give the right example for this important life lesson! 

We will secure the foundations future by aiming for self-sufficiency in both food & finance and solving the dangerous dependence on fundraising activities that TCDF, and most other foundations, still have. We believe this is the future for all small foundations and we are the proud to be frontrunners en developers of the self-sufficiency method for foundations!

We focus our energy in self-sufficiency in food and finance and invest our time in training and maintaining a strong local , long term  team. The set up of a permaculture farm and income generating projects  differs us from other foundations because it ensures that donations to TCDF are only and directly spend on the children in our projects and in the local community where we create jobs.

All with the aim to be independent, strong and self sufficient. In both Food & Finance. So the roots of our foundation are strong and can weather storms in hard times. Our foundation will last and continue to support those in need for the long run.

And we would like to share this method to other foundations to help others across the world help those in need!

And of course: anyone is welcome to visit and learn more about the  concept.

And by welcoming visitors from all over the world who we have a chance to show our project to creates the opportunity to build an big international network and community of involved people! We act local but think global !

Many small foundations and initiatives start of with kick start support, often by friends and family. Many initiatives have to shut down after a few years: they are either too well organized (read not needy enough anymore) so less not attractive to donate towards, or sponsors don't see progress and stop donating after a few years.

The concept of self sufficiency for foundations in food and finance focuses on an overall concept of becoming independent of donations.

Small foundations in rural areas like us can now reach out to the wide world by social media, volunteer aps,a online wishlist, online coaching, webshop and so on

In the next 12 months we will develop several e-books as an guide and inspiration to small foundations all over the world. Self Sufficiency for small foundations: Food & Finance. The handbook can be downloaded for free for small foundations and individuals who wants to make a difference in their own community.

1. we will write the handbooks and get professional help to make sure that it can be used by as many educators/ small foundations as possible in their different communities

2. we will spread the knowledge and educational materials 

3. we will have the handbook translated to as many languages as possible

4. we are right now ready to host teams of educators for hands on training on self sufficiency for foundations at our community learning center.

Right now we only work together with all local schools and healthcare institutions. The projects is successful on a very small scale, local level. We think many people in need can benefit from our method and would like to expand this by making the method available in a DIY inspirational handbook  that can be downloaded in as many languages as possible, practical, hand on ideas and educational material. 

hopefully couple dozen schools/ educators can be reached in the first year and with time to promote in three years we should be able to reach several hundreds or thousands of educators.

We have the concept and the method and proved that is works for us. We just want to share this, for free with others who have the intention to make a difference.

We have strong roots in the local community. We have been making a difference in the lives of children in need for over a decade. We create jobs on a local level and we are expanding every year. All of this with a budget of less than 60.000 dollars a year.

We are a small foundations hidden in the jungle of Thailand. But we think big and have a method that we want to share for free to be able to benefit any others who make a difference around the world. With a solve donation we can make our method available to many people outside our mountain village.
