Grow Food and Medicine NOW 

1) Our project is committed to addressing the health and economic crisis in Oceti Sakowin Reservations 

2)We educate a certify land owners to grow industrial hemp under the Religious Freedom and Restroratipn Act and the “Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000“....empowering land owners to become entrepreneurs. Thus far we have assisted Alex White Plumb of Manderson, SD (Pine Ridge Reservation) and Winona LaDuke Anishnaabee Activist and entrepreneur in MN both get certified to grow hemp and both have been incredibly successful.

Our model is duplicable and ready to be shared with the Oyate (People) of Oceti Sakowin...

3)  How will this project not change the community? Our model is set up to educate people on all of the various uses of hemp from producing medicine in the form of CBD products, to manufacturing food, textiles, and sustainable building materials. 

By having the ability to make our own medicine we will be able to address the health care crisis by having access to medicine that actually works rather than being subjected to the unethical treatment at IHS or receiving mass amounts of opiate prescriptions from healthcare professionals. By having access to medicine (CBD) that is effective in treating trauma related symptoms, people would be less likely to self medicate with alcohol. 

Teaching families to process hemp and manufacture hemp products would bring opportunities to create homebased businesses, creating opportunity for wholesaling, retailing, contracting, and employment for other tribal members.

Teaching other tribal members how to make hemp create and utilize recycled building materials and permaculture practices can solve the crisis of inadequate housing on our Oceti Sakowin reservations.

Hemp could REVOLUTIONIZE everything for us!!! Wumaniti hemp also offers a distributing opportunity for entrepreneurs who get our products into retail stores. 

Since this organization was founded it has always given product away to tribal members but now we want to teach tribal members how to create healing and sustainable for themselves on their own lands 

We are the only native-based CBD company. We are also the only CBD manufacturers and producers that are a non-profit. We use our products as fund raising commodities to finance our community programs which include a Family Equine activities, yoga and meditation classes, Pow Wow Club and ceremonies.

We are kind of low tech....I guess the technology we use the most would be our devices for networking, sales, and marketing on social media. After all we wouldn't be applying for this fellowship had we not seen the post on Facebook

I travel back and forth from the tribal Lands in New Mexico to my family home in Wolfcreek, on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to bring resources back to our loved ones. Our goal is to create the resources to expand our project through Oceti Sakowin. It's not sustainable to drive back and forth with a car full of supplies, but with the right funding we could support the reservations of Oceti Sakowin in becoming sustainable, healthy communities with food and wellness sovereignty.

We recently just acquired our first charter member and developed our Charter SOP. We are going to continue to recruit businesses and organizations in the rest of the country and utilize the revenue created through those outlets to continue spreading our model of hemp cultivation, manufacturing and production, sharing our success with all that are willing to adhere to our code of ethics. 

By certifying families in every district throughout our reservations we would be creating endless opportunities that we can't even fully imagine, as us Lakota are such industrious, ingenuitive, resourceful people.

We have a strong relationship with Taos Pueblo tribe and grow hemp on their tribal lands for 3 yrs

we have paying customers who we serve , we give away CBD products to enrolled tribal members who cannot afford them, and we have our products in retail stores across the country. It's hard to lock down a number of how many people we serve in total but through our outreach programs, I would say we improve the lives of 40-50 families currently

The healing that had happened over the last 5 years in this small community is an example of what healing can take place when hemp, horses, connection and culture converge 

We utilize our products as fund raising commodities to create revenue. In addition to that our members also pay membership dues for the benefits they receive as members. This model has allowed us to not only exist but continue to grow over the last five years and we don't plan on stopping
