Women involvement in taking actions on climate change

we need more women not only in policy making and environmental science but also in taking positions in the fight against climate change.

We need more women not only in policy making but also taking actions on environmental changes. Let the disproportionate effect climate change has on women ,and the deeper understanding they consequently acquire day by day be the driving force to catapult them to all positions they deserve to have in the fight against climate change. Women in developing countries are particularly vulnerable to the challenges of climate change since they tend to be the caretakers and providers of water and food. As we fight for a more sustainable future ,women around the world must be at the forefront of these efforts. When we use the words climate justice, we have to remember that justice implies that there is injustice. And injustice implies that there is an imbalance somewhere. So the whole work of creating justice is to get balance that you need. And this balance is as important for the environment as it is for people. Women should be given positions in the fight against climate change and must be at the forefront of  these efforts since they are particularly vulnerable to the challenges of climate change especially in developing countries.

INADEQUATE RAIN FALL: This is where by little or no rainfall is received in certain areas that used to receive enough rainfall. This is brought about by human activities that lead to climate change. The range at which rainfall decreases in the community is increasing due to increased human encroachment on natural resources like forests and swamps. Many people are affected especially those in rural communities where the areas receive little rainfall to support the agriculture sector . Encroachment on wetlands by people who drain them to do their activities like farming , quelling and other activities that involve draining of swamps. The increased encroachment on swamps and forests result into loss of rainfall in victim areas bringing about drought, famine in communities due to lack of enough rainfall to sustain agricultural activities.

My solution serves to farmers most and they are the chief beneficiaries of the climate change campaign. In most developing countries agriculture is mostly done by women are children ,so if we involve them in the campaign they will be able to meet their needs .

During a research made by NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (NEMA) in the past years indicates that climate is increasingly changing doe to human activities and encroachment of natural resources

The reason I selected this stage of development for my solution is that if the campaign involves women and children who are most likely to be the victims of climate change, this would help much.

The involvement of women in taking actions on climate change would help much if they are given positions of leadership in the campaign to fight against climate change. Women must be at the forefront of these efforts since they are considered to be vulnerable to the challenges of climate change and since they tend to be the caretakers and providers of water and food.

I expect to serve over 10million people by next year of which my target population is women and maybe children.

My impact goals are ; since there has been gender equality due to women emancipation, women should be given more positions in the campaign for the fight against climate change. 

solution progress and impact would be measured through questionnaire method to see the level of division of labour in the community to check the number of women and children  involved in the campaign. The activeness of offices provided to women leaders in the campaign against climate change would be used as  a measure of solution progress and impact. 

1. Inadequate funds to gear up the campaign in form construction of offices. 

2. Hostility from people especially during the enforcement of the rules and laws given to them. Eg never to encroach wetlands and stopping people from cutting down trees .

3. Low technology especially in taking and recording data for analysis
