3rd Eye App
Video evidence is the most convincing type of evidence that can be shown in court. The majority of civilians are smartphone carriers and use their smartphones to capture videos of events they witness throughout their day. Research of nearly 4,000 global respondents across 10 cities conducted by research company YouGov on behalf of Unisys Corp. shows that 71% of citizens are ready and willing to share digital evidence directly with agencies if it were possible. 3rd Eye App is the platform that's making it possible by focusing on capturing, securing, supporting, and the sharing of smartphone captured videos. We aim to maintain the chain of custody of smartphone captured videos so that when they are shared with public safety officials, the authenticity of the video does not come into question.
When the 3rd Eye App mobile application is initiated on a smartphone, users can feel confident that 3rd Eye App is utilizing their device to not only capture audio, video, time, date, and location but also simultaneously uploading that information to a secure cloud storage for the user to manage. Once the upload is complete the user then has the ability to share the captured event, along with its supporting information, with other account holders of the service. Most police departments for example would have you bring your smartphone down to the station and allow an officer to plug your phone into a police computer in order to remove a captured video. By allowing civilians an opportunity to communicate with their law enforcement officials via video sharing will be beneficial to both sides as we work to bridge the gap.
We are still experiencing some bugs as we continue to build out our platform. The backend is coming along well and we are soon to start focusing on frontend design.
