What specific problem are you solving?

Absence of a sustainable solution to bridge the gap between lack of access to a democratized & socially-inclusive flood disaster management & early warning system, has made flooding becomes major devastator with no or limited resiliency for `centuries. It’s the most frequent natural disaster that affects the world with frequency of about 45% & accounting for 71% of all death related to natural disaster and also affecting about 5.4Billion people globally & 121Millions flood vulnerable Nigerians.

What is your solution?

We digitize, dicept & disrupt every impending natural disaster (flooding & drought) activity, thereby, dematerializing the conventional huge traditional system into small, which reduces the material size & cost, thereby, demonetizing the system to be cheap, affordable & even free, which automatically democratizes the system to open, accessible across disaster vulnerable populations.

"FLOEWS", is an all-round solution that monitors & forecast flood imminence, thereby, disseminating the forecast as an early warning intelligence to the (flood) vulnerable individuals, communities, cities, business & economies, why? for early preparedness, awareness, emergency response, speedy recovery & strengthening path to resiliency. Towards reduction in devastation among lives, utility/Infrastructure, bio-diversity, food/water supply & economic losses estimated in $billion.

Leveraging datasets from satellites, RADAR, Insitu’s, and an untapped unique meteorological data source harvested from wireless signals, which are computed together using a powerful GPU and with an industry standard hydrological model, analyze with an artificial intelligence (AI) & machined learning (ML), with the final derived insight being disseminated as an early warning to FLOEWS customers/beneficiaries via a multi-channel such as:

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

As adversity of extreme weather, climate change & natural disaster such as flooding persist globally, it accounts for environmental/bio-diversity degradation, social instability and economic losses estimated in $trillions globally. The most unfortunate part is that geographies (Nations, States & territories) face climate injustice, whereby, they emit less/no green-house gases but suffers the most from the adversity of climate change, extreme weather and natural disaster events such as flooding, storm/hurricane, coastal sea rises which further triggers landslide, water-borne epidemic, massive displacements and with natural disaster serves as the major caused of migration/displacements globally (According: IOM & GFDRR, 2021).

Solutions such as FLOEWS, is helping reduce overall devastation caused by natural disaster (flooding) among lives; especially the under-served, marginalized, disabled, women/girls, climate unjust individuals, communities and economies etc, valuable properties, utility/Infrastructure, bio-diversity, food/water supply & economic losses estimated in $billions (USD).However, the reduction in devastation is achieved by equipping them vulnerable population with an early warning intelligence which in returns prepares them early & ensuring their overall readiness towards the reduction in devastation caused by the disaster.

With our solution being marginalized is no longer be a problem.

I and my co-founders are a team of unique diversity, skillset & expertise, we’ve this ability of trying, falling, re-learning, continues trying, and above all we possess a unique passion for helping solve among earths most pressing environmental challenges “Natural Disaster” & it’s sustainability. With a core background in geography and environmental management technology while synchronizing ICT, software development, critical thinking, problem framing & solving skills, sustainable solution engineering & evaluation, at our disposal. However, this gave us disruptive advantage as the right organization to tackle the problem, while helping make the world safer, smarter & resilient place to continue living
