Solar Cookstove system- Clean environment imperative
SOLVING A GLOBAL PROBLEMS LOCALLY.
Project Drawdown defines clean cookstoves as solar-powered or fuel-burning household stoves that reduce greenhouse gas emissions by increasing thermal efficiency, reducing specific emissions, or increasing ventilation. This solution replaces traditional cookstoves that burn wood and/or charcoal inefficiently and without ventilation.
Clean cooking stoves come in all shapes, sizes, and designs! The primary goal of a clean cooking stove is to reduce the amount of polluting and harmful fuels that households use every day to put food on the table. While each stove design is different, it is made to ensure maximum efficiency, or in some cases, complete elimination of common fuels such as firewood, coal, kerosene, dried animal waste, and more.
By maximizing the efficiency of a stove, the normal materials that are available and used by households are more fully burned up in the combustion process. This means that the quantity of harmful by-products and emissions released into the air is dramatically reduced. The result is less indoor air pollution and smoke, reducing impacts not only on climate change, but also preventing serious health complications and premature deaths within families. In addition to these environmental and health benefits, fuel efficient cooking stoves help prevent further destruction of nearby forests. They also mean less time spent collecting fuelwood or income spent purchasing coal or charcoal. The result is more time and savings for new economic opportunities!
Currently, about one-third of world’s population (2.7 billion people) depends on solid fuels including fuelwood and crop residue, for cooking. This is projected to increase by 8 percent by 2030. These traditional cooking practices impact not only global carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions from fuel combustion, but also the health of rural populations of the developing world due to household air pollution. Traditional stoves can be improved in three different ways, as named above. The type of cookstove is determined by the International Organization for Standardization tier based on thermal efficiency and emissions.
Below is a graphical representation of a prototype clean cookstove system

Solar cookstoves, as shown above, are another cookstove technology. As they are a sustainable and renewable alternative. Solar cookstoves work on the main principle to capture and convert the energy from the sun to heat. Light from the sun is reflected from a mirrored surface and transferred to a cooking container where it is absorbed as heat. There are many different types of solar cookstoves, for e.g.: a box construction where the pot is placed. Another type is curved concentrating reflectors that have a parabolic design and where the pot is placed in the middle (at the focal point).
Finally, panel cookers that have the reflectors on bottom, and its three surrounding walls – incorporating the box and parabolic design. The panel cookers are usually most cost efficient. For efficient absorption, cooking devices should be matte black or deep colours and lids should be used at all times. An example is the CooKit which is an inexpensive and easily adaptable. As solar cookstove is fuel and smoke free, it benefits the household economy as well as the users’ health.
Also, solar cooking often increases cooking times and significantly diverges in the process from traditional cooking. Since it is demanding a change of cooking habits for the customer, information and education about the stove is therefore essential for the adoption process. As solar cookers do not work during cloudy days, in strong winds or at night, an additional cookstove using other available fuels is required for complementary use at times.
Solar cookstoves are successful in many contexts, having a small but increasing market share A solar panel is connected to a power pack / charge controller producing electricity that runs the fan and can also be used for mobile phone charging or illuminating a light, making it ideal to be used in rural villages with no grid connection while biomass from fuel wood or agricultural residues can be used for cooking.
Our company is INTELLIVIERS SERVICES - We are in the business of rendering consultancy services in the area of financial services, financial advisory, debt management, intelligence and Market research and other services that impact on the corporate and societal development.
We were registered in the month of February 2016 and started business in the same month and year. We are proud to have delivered efficient customer-friendly service to the community. As a consumer-friendly organisation, we are more that prepared to impact on the health and wellbeing of our different customers, as well as, the environment and the larger society.
- Rapidly decarbonize heating and cooking systems in existing homes while improving efficiency.
- Pilot
I am taking advantage of this program in order to advance my opportunities and to grow my possibilities .
To meet new people and create more opportunities for myself and others.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
It is new . It saves lives and it saves the environment.
- Felling of trees. Trees are the major contributors to greenhouse emission, and so felling of trees to extract firewood for cooking, exposes the environment and the atmosphere to Co2 emission.Co2 emission is a major concern for the world environment, which necessitated the COP 26 event that took place in Scotland recently. We believe that we can contribute the little we can, as little things matters a lot.
- Health hazards: Co2 emission is a great health risk, not only to the people in the local environment but also for the world inhabitants. People travel all over the world , tourists travel and visit different places, businessmen travel far away into rural areas for business opportunities and business growth and development, world leader also travel to different nations of the world. All these people are going to be exposed to these environment hazards, if something is not done about it. It might look infinitesimal or insignificant, but, we have seen enough to justify why we want to venture in this project.
We believe that our project in delivering a more efficient and environmental-friendly form of cooking, will go a long way in solving these environmental challenges and nip in the bud, a global disaster about to happen. Just like the COVID-19 pandemic, which has ravaged the world today. COVID-19 pandemic started from one country but today, virtually every country of the world is battling the scourge now and it is not even about to go away. COVID-19 was initially treated with levity initially and lackadaisical attitude, however, nations are locking down with travel restriction been imposed on citizen, even against their will.
Our project is to deliver reusable, efficient and environment-friendly cookstove system to indigent rural dwellers within the rural communities and environment. This will go a long way to curb the use of firewood that is mostly obtained from the felling of valuable tree that emit clean oxygen to atmosphere and that helps to shelter animals and plants that sustains human life. We are doing this because, we believe that we can contribute, in our own little way in safeguarding the environment and the health of the people and the people of the world. We believe that, it will be cheaper now than to be fighting hazards.
Making positive impact in peoples' live.
My Theory of change is trying a new thing that transform lives for good.

Our Business Models includes the following;
Disintermediation
We sell products in stores.
Disintermediation is when you sidestep everyone in the supply chain and sell directly to consumers, allowing you to potentially lower costs to your customers and have a direct relationship with them as well.
Marketplace
Marketplaces allow sellers to list items for sale and provide customers with easy tools for connecting to sellers.
The marketplace business model can generate revenue from a variety of sources including fees to the buyer or the seller for a successful transaction, additional services for helping advertise seller’s products, and insurance so buyers have peace of mind. The marketplace model has been used for both products and services.
Retailer model
These businesses purchase goods from distributors and then sell them to customers for a price that will both cover expenses and turn a profit. Retailers may specialize in a particular niche, such as kitchenware, or carry a range of products.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
1. Through Marketing Mix
2. Through sustained result-oriented business strategy and research.
3. Through expansion and diversification.
We have engaged with different organizations across a broad spectrum of industrial divide, especially, within the financial sector because, we believe they(financial institutions) reach the very strata of the society including the lower cadre. This is an example of how we plan to achieve financial sustainability.
We believe that the lower cadre of any society is more retainable and loyal because they assimilate and integrate more with new brands and services.
